The 1991 hollywood songstress book described 5ft1, as did 2000 Cinematic Century but I found a quote by June herself from June 1946 in the Milwaukee Journal where she stated that, "I'm exactly five feet tall but I tell people I'm 5 feet 1 inch. I wear high heels in 'High Barberie' because Van Johnson is so tall"

She looked about the same height on screen as Garland I thought and taller than Powell. 5 ft seems about right.

If June came up to Cecil Kellaway and Robert Keith's mouth and they are both 5'8". then she was more likely over 5'.

When I met her she was under 5' tall. I'd say June was never more than 4'11". In fact I'm watching a film she's starring in right now on TCM and she comes up to Cecil Kellaway's mouth and he was about 5'8". Same story with Robert Keith who was also 5'8". Keith was the father of actor Brian Keith.
