But seriously, John and I are exactly the same height. But he will tell you he's taller. The nicest thing I can say about John Larroquette is that he lies about his height.

Larroquette is definitely taller than Nealon. I have a feeling Kevin may have been a fraction shy of 6ft4.

@David Tang: Yeah I'd put my chips squarely on Larroquette edging Lithgow.

Lithgow was a regular flat 6ft4. He could vary next to others so he's listed appropriately, not over the mark but not much u not under either. Larroquette could pull off 6ft4½ range at times like on Night Court (near 1in on Harry Anderson, 2in on Charles Robinson) and Stripes (good 3in on Bill Murray). He'd get away with claiming 6ft5 no problem, early in the day probably measured it. Adding a fraction to this listing wouldn't be a bad idea. He's still looking 6ft4 today while Lithgow is closer to 6ft3
David Tang said on 26/Apr/22
textbook six four. rob give him a quarter inch boost, i think he would edge lithgow by quarter to half an inch, what do you think

@Danimal = your pics are not neutral, Kevin Nealon stands a lot closer to the camera than George Foreman.Plus this is an old George Foreman here ,I really doubt he's still standing at his peak height in your pic. Same thing for your pic John Laroquette /Richard Moll plus low angle of camera that advantage a lot the clothest guy so John here.Plus Richard isn't standing as straight as John here.In lots of pics more neutral than yours Richard Moll clearly dwarfs John for easily 4 inches

Larroquette appears to be wearing thicker footwear. But we don’t know if Nealon was really 6’4”. I never completely ruled out 194 for Larroquette especially based on how he appeared in person but then with Moller he looked 6’4” flat next to him

I’d say a worst case would be 6’4.25 at a low in his peak. He’s likely one of the few celebs here who is actually underlisted a tad. He’s likely taller than most of the other 6’4” listed guys here maybe with the exception of Swagger
Canson said on 19/Apr/18
@Rampage: never saw comparisons with the two of them. There’s a possibility Laroquette had a footwear advantage when I saw him next to my father but I definitely would say he’s no less than you mentioned below, if anything. A very strong 6’4”. I agree that Neeson May need some change added. He may possibly be 6’4.25 at a low like I am and 6’5 out of bed.
Mayfield said on 17/Apr/18
Assuming Larroquette is just a flat 6'4, what would that make Harry Anderson? Obviously he never was the full 6'4. He was more likely a solid 6'3 guy claiming 6'4. He could use a page, especially considering his recent passing

@Rampage: he was possibly on the cusp of weak 6’5” peak he was taller than my father who peak was a legit 6’4, 6’4 maybe 6’4 1/8 (and still almost 6’4 in his late 60s as he’s done well). Larroquette could’ve been 6’4.5 easy peak. This is one of the few celebs I actually feel is underlisted only because I’ve seen him up close but didn’t look at footwear and it was only for a few seconds but he looked a hair taller than my father next to him. I didn't see a Bobby Moynihan page, but on the recent show "Me Myself and I", he and Larroquette play the same character at different ages -- Moynihan at 40, in the present, and John at 65, in the future. I don't know why it bugs me with the 2 of them being so far off height-wise LOL. It's really not a bad show. One of the comments suggested Bobby Moynihan is around 5'7"? I noticed they surround Larroquette with some other tall actors like Ed Begley Jr. maybe to make him look more average. FTR, in his prime I would easily guess him at 6'5", but maybe close to 6'4" today..??
Canson said on 24/Oct/17
@Christian: lol he is one of the few I would have to say Rob has at least for a peak underlisted. But prob by 1/2” is about it. Maybe 5/8 is a max. He could be a Barkley like peak.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 24/Oct/17
Larroquette's probably the tallest 6'4" listed celeb on this site. Even more than Liam Neeson and probably on par with Jack Swagger my opinion.
Canson said on 23/Oct/17
@Junior and Hunch: i agree with junior. Larroquette Def was 6’4.5. I would’ve prob thought nearer 6’5” but maybe because I just saw him walk past My father and didn’t notice shoes or stance. And it wasn’t that much of a diff very slight but noticeable for me to see it. My father at that stage prob was still 6’4” flat as he would’ve been in his early 50s or late 40s when we saw him. I think peak he maybe was like 6’4 1/8. He was a good 6’4 but not a guy who woke up to 6’5” either. Even at 70 he’s still just about 6’4 maybe 6’3.75 is a worst case. I know when I first hit 6’4 we were identical at one point barefoot back to back
Hunch said on 21/Oct/17

Hunch said on 6/Oct/17
The thing is, Larroquette’s height is confusing me a bit. Next to Richard Moll, I can see the possibility of a full four inch difference. However, next to most other actors, he looked like he could have been in the 6’4.5” to 6’5” range when young. And what is even more confusing is that I’ve seen a few places that list Richard Moll at 6’7.5”. What would make the most sense to me is that Moll really was over 6’8” too, because he gives a taller impression to me than even a 6’8.5” listed Brad Garrett. The height difference between Moll and 7’2”ish Kevin Peter Hall looked more like 5 inches than 6. Even though he still got unavoidably typecast for his size, Richard was very interested in being a skilled actor rather than just a giant hulk, so I could see him rounding down or purposefully shaving a little off his height. I don’t know. This is a real head scratcher.
Deathstroke said on 13/Sep/17

I Don't think Larroquette was closer to 6'5" than 6'4". Maybe he had footwear advantage over your dad, because you mentioned you didn't pay attention to his footwear. Even Rampage Clover is saying he was 6'4.5", and Rampage has a reputation for upping celebrities heights often. (no offense to him)

@HollywoodFan: that's odd. I never thought Lou was 6'4" but peak he was 6'3" and 6'2" today. Larroquette peak was prob closer to 6'5" than a flat 6'4" at very worst he was right in the middle at 6'4.5

Needs an upgrade for his peak. He's over 6'4 peak. closer to 6'5. When I met him He looked a pinch taller than my father who at his prime was 193-193.5. And in the 90s still measured that I'd go no less than 194-195 for him. He'd be along the lines of Charles Barkley or Michael Jordan

The 6'7" actor I mentioned in the previous post was Ron Feinberg. Feinberg looked 6'7" next to Michael Conrad. And Richard Moll looked a solid 6'8"+ next to Feinberg in heels.

I actually walked right past John Laroquette in the airport once. Probably early to 90s I'd have to guess. I hadn't reached my full height but my father is 6'4" and Laroquette looked a hair taller than him so 6'4.5 is likely for him
Anonymous said on 14/Apr/17
Rob, there is an episode of Night Court with a young Dennis Haysbert and Larroquette looked taller. I really think he may have been 6'4.5" prime. I think that is a sweet spot for him. I completely see what you mean next to Richard Moll; he doesn't look a solid 6'5". But I do think he is more than a flat 6'4". Moll wasn't much shorter than 7' something Kevin Peter Hall, and still has at least 3 inches on Jared Padalecki in recent years, so he was definitely a solid 6'8". Richard could have even been a hair over 6'8" at his peak because he looked no shorter than a 6'7" listed bit part actor wearing a dress and big heels for a gag on Night Court. And the fact that Larroquette has said both 6'4" and 6'5" for his own height makes me think he is exactly like Stephen Fry, a 6'4.5"

My Night Court height guesses

Harry Anderson - 6'3.75"
John Larroquette - 6'4.5"
Charles Robinson - 6'3"
Richard Moll - 6'8"-6'8.25"
Markie Post - 5'6"
Marsha Warfield - 5'10.75"

I couldn't hazard a guess on Selma Diamond or Florence Hallop because they looked so much smaller than the rest of the cast.

The mystery here is how tall Harry Anderson is, and here he is with John Ratzenberger, measured at 5'9.5. Judging by this, maybe Harry was perhaps in the 6'3.5-75 range?

And another thought that could be worth looking into.... a lot of people, me included, think Larroquette is a fraction over 6'4, but you make the argument that over a four inch difference on Moll. I do wonder if they tried to make Moll look taller than he is on the show, maybe some special footware? Worth looking into

On the behind the scenes of Night Court, the producer of the show said John was somewhere between 6'4" and 6'6". To me, he was probably just scraping 6'5" when he had great posture. Harry Anderson was also described as 6'4" and John was noticeably taller than him. Harry may have been 6'3.5" and rounded up and John 6'4.5"-6'4 7/8" and rounded down. One thing was obvious that when 6'3" Michael Richards (Kramer) made a guest appearance on the show in late 1984, he stood side by side with John and John had a good 2" on him, if not more. John also had a good inch on then 6'4" Lou Ferrigno in the 1980's. Again, John was a 6'5" man all the way. Harry was 6'4". Mac was 6'3" and Bull (Richard Moll) was 6'8". VERY tall cast.

There is definitely more than a 1 inch difference between the two. I think Larroquette's assertion that he is 6'5" is very reasonable and deserves an upgrade.

I agree, seeing Harry Anderson ALSO claims to be 6'4", but John Laroquette ALWAYS appeared to be taller. I still go with my assertion that John was at the HIGH end of 6'4" (closer to 6'5"), but downgraded to 6'4" and Harry Anderson was a probably 6'3.5" and rounded up. I would even go so far as to say that Harry was 6'3 1/4" and John 6'4 3/4" and both claimed 6'4". MACK on the show claimed to be 6'3". I believe he rounded up as well. Richard Moll (BULL) was a legit 6'8".

Harry Anderson was a legit 6'4" and John Larroquette was taller. I always gave Harry 6'3.5" and John 6'4 3/4". Harry rounded up and John rounded down.

I remember serving him once at Starbucks in the mid 90s (btw EXTREMELY kind, funny and HANDSOME man in real life) and I would say he was a hair over 6'4. He seemed much taller than even that! I'm only 5'1 so every seems like a giant to me, but I remember being kind of surprised at how tall he was.

No way Actor2Be. Richard Moll has been upgraded from 6'7.5 to 6'8 and he never really even looked 3" taller than John on Night Court. Next you'll be telling us Moll is 6'5.5 to 6'6 OR that Moll is 6'8 but John was wearing lifts on Night Court. That's ridiculous because the reason why Moll was hired in the first place is because they were struggling to find someone taller than the rest of the cast. Why would they let John wear lifts?!?!?

Just filmed a segment with him two days ago and stood next to him. I'm 6'1". He's no taller than 6'3" and maybe not quite that. Sorry.

Probably between 6'4.5"-6'5" even without the hair. He is very tall.

He was Live with Regis and Kelly this morning and once again referred to himself as being 6'5" tall. I really do think this guy should be bumped up to at least 6'4.5" tall.

It would make sense that a 60 something year old man is no longer his PEAK height of 6'4".

He is 6ft 3in tall. I emailed his official web site. Makes me wonder how tall Harry Anderson really is (judge from Night Court) since he is shorter than Begley, and is supposedly 6ft 4in.

That is a fairly decent observation. It certainly makes sense, and now that I have studied them again, it looks pretty accurate. Excellent work on that, man.

Stewy, what I believe is that Laroquette is probably 6'4 3/4" and Harry was 6'3 1/4" and they rounded their heights both to 6'4". John wasn't referring to his characters height buddy. He was referring to his own!

John was definitely an inch taller than Harry Anderson, who everyone knows is
6'4". So I would say John is absolutely 6'5". When I watched the reruns I didn't really notice this, until I bought Season 1 on DVD, and watched the episode "Some Like It Hot", where John states, "I'm 6'4", I don't have to flaunt it." My guess for the 6'4" height is maybe his character(Dan Fielding)
was supposed to be 6'4" or he thought he was 6'4".

He looked 6-4 in nightcourt.

I've heard him say on the Conan O' Brien show and the Tonight show that he is 6'5" tall. But then he's stated in an episode of Night Court that he is 6'4" tall. He's an inch taller than self-admitted 6'4" Harry Anderson so I'd say the truth is more likely 6'4.5" for John.
