@Rob, seeing a heeled Shelley Winters next to him in To Dorothy a Son I find it highly unlikely he was ever over 5 ft 10 barefoot. She was in heels which would have given 3 inches range, and only about 2 inches shorter than him stood side by side. If he was a real 5'10.5 he would have been 5'11.5 ish in shoes and should have looked about 4 inches taller. He looked 5 ft 9 range with her if she was just 5 ft 4. I thought she could often pull off looking taller than 5'4 flat. He did look about 3 inches taller than Kenneth More though..

There are plenty of pics around from the 1950's of Gregson in off-camera relaxed settings, including with Diana Dors. He didn't have great posture, but I agree with Rob, he's over 5'10 and would be extremely surprised if he wasn't pushing 5'11" or a bit more.

Incidentally Andre Morell was also in Three Cases of Murder!

Rob can you squeeze in Three Cases of Murder here? Orson Welles is in it but doesn't get much screen time. I'd be interested to see how they looked but I think Orson only appears in the court scenes at the end so didn't appear together.

Thanks! Did you check out any clips or anything? I think he looked roughly 3 inches and a bit taller than More and he wasn't that terribly taller in the kitchen scenes in Genevieve with Dinah Sheridan
Click Here who I think was 5'6" range (she;s not even standing straight there and wasn't in too big a heel). I think 5 ft 11 is the most I could buy. 6 ft is definitely ambitious!! But hell if the agency had More at 5 ft 10 Gregson could have been over 6'1!!

yes I had a look and 5ft 10 range seemed more likely than 6ft. I would like to find a cheap copy of The Frightened City to see what he looked like with Connery.
