Hendrik Johannes Cruyff was a Dutch professional footballer and manager, who played for Ajax and Barcelona and in the 1970's was a 3-time winner of the Ballon d'Or. He once said his weight was
"Just under 11st" and that his height was
"About 5ft 10in (I don't measure myself very often!)".

I saw Johan Cruyff play for Barcelona in the George Armstrong testimonial match at Highbury in March 1974, when he was in his prime, and then again, when he was 59, at the opening of the Emirates for the Dennis Bergkamp testimonial against Ajax in July 2006; at this game I was stood very close to him as he spoke to Dennis before the game, and I was surprised at how diminutive he was; maybe he'd lost a little height as he aged, but I'm 6 foot (approx 1.83m), and my estimate would be he was around 5ft 8.5"(approx 1.74m). Whatever his height.... what a player.

More like 177cm flat rather than 177.8cm is my estimate.

In morning, I'm 5 ft 10 in (177.7 cm) on barefoot and 5 ft 11 3/8 in (181.4 cm) on shoes. I guess Johan Cruyff is tall as me, just 5 ft 10 in (177.8 cm). Taller than 1 mm or more mm that doesn't matter

Well,
Here, the players used to give responses back in the 70's and 80's. Some of the bigger foreign names of that era did...

Maybe a shade under 5'10". Here he is with Beckenbauer:

Beckenbauer claimed to be a 6 footer, although that's debatable.
