Rob, is 6ft3 peak possible?
Looked 6ft2-2½ range on Dallas. Similar to Patrick Duffy and obviously taller than Larry
Editor Rob
I suppose you could argue he could have been near it.

Looks taller than Lee Marvin and as tall as Jack Palance in the the wonderful western Monte Walsh.

Looked the epitome of the tough western guy. A big man who was one of those faces you recognised but probably couldn't name until he found fame in Dallas in later life.

I take that back. He could look near 2in taller than Hagman who at the time could have been 6ft1 and also edged Patrick Duffy who was probably a strong 6ft2.
"Jim Davis Height is 6ft 3in (190.5cm)"

Rob, would 6ft1-6ft2 range be closer in Dallas?

..in Dallas episodes I've seen (all of them), he generally looks 2 inches taller than Hagman. He was a great pick for that role. Love him when he guests on Gunsmoke. He's from that old school, man's man breed.

Looked maybe ½in taller than Hagman in Dallas

Davis was 6'3" even in his late 50's, as can be seen in his appearances in "Gunsmoke". He seemed still close to this height in "Dallas" just before his death.

Davis was in many Republic pictures in the 40's and 50's. Supported Forrest Tucker, John Wayne, William Elliott and Rod Cameron. Was a tad shorter than Cameron, Tucker and Wayne. But always taller than the rest of the casts.
Faded from films in the 60's but reappeared in the 70's before assuming role of Jock Ewing in DALLAS. Monotoned voice. But always tough looking and sounding.
6'3" in his prime seems exactly right. Recently watched him in Jane Fonda's "Comes A Horseman". Always made a very good Heavy.
