In an article from 1970 it described her as such: "Beautiful - a 5-foot, 8-inch kitten with huge almond-shaped blue eyes, natural blonde hair that hangs past her shoulders and long, long legs. The measurements that count are 34-22-34."

I saw Jenny on 'Man About The House' this morning, from 1973. She towered over Richard O'Sullivan but then she might have been wearing heels.

Next to Christopher Lee, Jenny didn't look as short as many a woman would, and she didn't look very scared either! Mind you, the giant bats looked like Halloween decorations!

Oh, I remember Jenny Hanley from her days as a 'Magpie' presenter, but I didn't actually absorb that she was also an actress until much later, when I noticed her in a horror film I was watching. I read an article about her in one of my teenage girls' magazines, probably 'Jackie', in which she talked about the marriage proposals she was receiving from tiny little boys!
There was an enormously tall co-presenter in 'Magpie', with a huge mop of dark curly hair, who I rather fancied! It might have had something to do with Jenny's having to stand next to him which prevented me from thinking that she was even remotely tall for a lady. I think the presenter's name was Mick, but I can't be 100% on that, and he looked around 6ft4 and very lean and gangly.
The statement above says 5ft8 for Miss Hanley, but I'm far more inclined to agree with Rob's 5ft6.5. Also, if her measurements above are correct, with a tall height like that she would have looked skinnier than any member of the 'Top of the Pops' dance troupe 'Legs and Co', as they were all around 5ft3-4, with just one girl of 5ft5, with 22"-24" wasp waists; I never noticed Jenny Hanley looking like that! Those dancers were FIT - in every sense of the word!
