hes probaly 5'8 out of bed with 12 hours sleep.None of there body building guys seem to be over 5'9 these days, except maybe coleman who looks to be a solid 5'9 but nothing more.

12 hours sleep? Who gets that??? Coleman is 5'10" (rounded up), He had at least 2-2.5" on Cutler in ALL competition, so how then can Cutler be 5'9" as you state?? Do you even follow professional bodybulding Lmeister????

You obviously didnt get what i was trying to say.I was trying to say AT HES BEST cutler seems 5`8 barefoot.

Over 5'10 is rare for bodybuilders today.

5' 8" or even less barefoot .He was a very very nice guy !!!!!

Why dont we ask Mamun on this one. It looks like Jay would edge him out here, although I have a sneaky suspicion he may walk around at public appearances in thick heels.

Mamun, how tall did you think he looked?
Lmeister said on 6/Jun/08
I think he actually might be even a strong 5ft9.
Alex said on 5/Jun/08
If Coleman had as much as 2-2.5 inches on Cutler than I could go as low as 5'7.5 for Cutler but could be 5'8 flat but I won't go over that. Coleman is no more than 5'10.
Cutler can look 5'9 with Dino but not sure if Dino is alegit 6'0 barefoot either.
OutBenchThis said on 5/Jun/08
I'd say he's closer to 5'7" as a friend who's 5'9" had a couple of inches on him when he was on tour in Australia on promotion.
Danimal said on 5/Jun/08
5'8"-5'8.5" is a safe bet, or at least this is what he was a dozen years ago. These 5'9" and 5'10" estimates of people on here are comical. We see how Coleman measures up to 5'8" Mamum and we know that Coleman had at least 2-2.5" on Cutler in the bodybuilding scene. How many people on this page actually follow the bodybuilding scene and have seen these two men go head to head for the last decade? Thought so.

max 5'8 could be ony 5'7 barefoot, depending on his footwear
Lego said on 5/Jun/08
he's a strong 5'8 that's for sure however his built is quite large for such height so he may appear shorter than he really is.

he's certainly no less than 5'8.
Danimal said on 13/May/08
Yup, I agree Alex. He's max 5'8" and could very be less.
Alex said on 12/May/08
I've heard of some 5'7 sightings of him. This guy I knew at my gym who worked there a couple years ago met him and took a picture with him. The guy was 5'10-5'11 and he had at at least 3 inches on Jay.

I can relate Danimal, and height doesn't matter, weight does.
And you're right girls are horrible at guessing height.
And Jay's height is quite accurate here, look at pictures with Ronnie Coleman (5'11") on-stage at the Olympia, looks pretty much 5'8" for Cutler.
Dbo said on 27/Mar/08
No matter what height he is what a grotesque looking wee mess of a man!!!
KevBo said on 31/Jan/08
The top of the heads tell the height in this pic. Jays shoulders are so thick and high, it kind of throws the visual off. I think its about right. 5'8"-5'9" Jay and 6'0" Dino dude.

Alex said on 30/Nov/07
Danimal, yea thats the big difference. I've been working out since 19 and I'm 23 1/2 right now so 4 1/2 years compared to your 19 years.
But you're right if you've been working out for a while and lose some weight its easier to gain it back. I just weighed myself this morning and I was 200lbs even so I gained 11 pounds since September from 189lbs. Of couse I put on a little fat too but thats normal but I put muscle on as well since I got stronger.
Danimal said on 29/Nov/07
Yeah guys. It's ALL day eating and hitting the weights so hard that I'm light headed on many occasions in the gym. I'm currently training with a former Mr. Canada. He used to train with Lee Haney. this guy pushes me beyond anything I've ever known. Leung, a lot of it also has to do with muscle memory. Been working out hardcore since 11? I just turned 30. So, we're looking at almost 19 years. I like being heavier. It does something to ones confidence. We seem to get more respect. Maybe it's just in my head though...haha. Can you guys relate?
Alex said on 28/Nov/07
Danimal, I wanna get to 220-225lbs but without putting on too much fat. I wanna get to 18 inch arms flexed and 46-48 inch chest and 28 inch thighs. Right now my arms are 16 flexed, chest is 42 1/2 and my thighs are 25 3/4.
219lbs is big on your height. Thats a lot of weight you gained in 9 months though.

They're equally terrible at guessing weights and heights, I think may be a bit worse at weights though.

Jason, yea its absurd. I can't see myself looking anything under 190lbs minimum or anything over 220lbs max.
Leung said on 28/Nov/07

Danimal said on 28/Nov/07
Girls are worse at guessing height. They are horrible in fact. Alex, I'm up to 219 pounds now. I'm up from 156 pounds (my weight in February of this year).
Jason said on 28/Nov/07
Oh, I was about 232 when guessed as 220. 243 when guessed as 265. 160-240 for you?!?! My gosh. lol. Your friends would have to have larger bones than normal to be able to get that big. That's not *why* they're that big, though ... LOL
Alex said on 28/Nov/07
I've been told I have big bones from a few people.
My 6'0 friend claims to have big bones, more likely an excuse. But he may if he doesn't look the weight he is.
Alex said on 28/Nov/07
Jason, its amazing how our weights can be estimated in such a big range. I've been guessed as low as 160lbs and as high as 240lbs, while I was 195-200lbs, go figure. Girls are terrible at guessing weights and every time I get guessed at a low weight its from a female. Thats where the 160lbs came from. If you look at my new pics on the general height page I look no way 160lbs. LOL
Jason said on 28/Nov/07
Jon has a massive bone frame, which subtracts from that effect, though. Imagine how big someone who was ripped at that height/weight would be. This year I've been estimated as low as 220 and as high as 265 lol ... more often about the weight I am. Viper, the funny thing is he's never even played sport before.
Alex said on 27/Nov/07
Viper, I'm back up to about 200lbs again after being 190lbs or so up until October but I get estimated at 210-215lbs at least.
Alex said on 27/Nov/07
Viper, pictures can make people look ligther sometimes. In person its different though. I don't think Jon looks 50lbs heavier than my 6'0 friend, but fact he has much more muscle mass he's going to look heavier than he really is while my friends have a lot of fat making them look less than they are sometimes.
Viper said on 27/Nov/07
Jason, Jon looks 350 pounds at the minimum to me. He looks like Kris Jenkins of the Carolina Panthers. Very similar in size. Especially arm size. Just a huge beast.
Viper said on 27/Nov/07
Jon looks like he has 50 pounds minimum on your heaviest frend Alex. Your friends are some of the "lightest" looking people Ive ever sen that are over 300 pounds. Hell, that should be a compliment for them :)
Jason said on 27/Nov/07
Yeah, you look bigger when you're leaner. Though Jon is a freakin' mammoth lol ... he's that big his 20.5'' neck doesn't even look big on him. Scales can screw up when you push their limit, but to me it's hard to say. One thing I can tell for certain is I'm 240 and your friends are sure heavier than me. :)
Alex said on 26/Nov/07
I'll repost the picture from a year ago of my 6'0 friend. He weighs 325-330lbs here as I saw him weigh himself, his weight flucuates a bit too. That or the scale was off 40-50lbs. They can still be close in weight but the fact Jon has much more muscle mass he's going to appear even heavier. That matters big time. 320lbs with 20% body fat is going to be bigger than someone 325lbs with like 35-40% body fat.

Here is the 5'8 friend of mine and his weight flucuates anywhere from 310-330lbs. He's the same guy in the picture with Big Show with me.

Jason said on 26/Nov/07
He said on the boards he weighed 330 in the profile pic. Most of those pics are old and he's 330 or under (he's even been down to 285 in a few) - he didn't get back to 340 until more recently. I've seen him post since 2004. He's also got 4.5'' and 8.5'' respectively in height on your friends ... I'd be thinking something is fishy here if I were you lol.

The amazing thing is it only took him months to get around that big. He was huge and had a tonne of muscle before he even started lifting weights.
Leung said on 25/Nov/07
Danimal,
To make the claim that Cutler had synthol in his arms is uncalled for, it sounds like you are joking but it
Alex said on 25/Nov/07
Maybe, he doesn't look it though even though he has muscle. 340lbs he says he weighs. Thats 10-20lbs heavier than both my friends even though it looks more its because he has more muscle than them making the weight difference look even more.
Jason said on 25/Nov/07
He could be 19%. I know a very low bodyfat percentage on someone very heavy appears fatter than on a person of average weight because the amount of fat needed to protect the organs remains the same. I think high weights skew things a little.
Alex said on 24/Nov/07
Another thing, I aint buying 19% body fat for this guy Big Jon. He's gotta be 25% at least even though he does have muscle too.
Alex said on 24/Nov/07
Lesnar's chest was at 56 by the NFL and Cutler looks bare minimum that. I can believe 58 for Cutler I think.

Jason, also this big guy is fat but has muscle too. My 2 heavy friends are just pure fat very little muscle and aren't even strong for their weight at all so my friends could be very close to this guy in weight while it won't look like that because he has much more muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.
Danimal said on 23/Nov/07
Leung, how can you claim that Jay was deserving of this 2007 win, when EVERYONE (all PROS included) does not believe it. Jay was HORRIBLY flat, and bloated at pre-judging. His right side does not match his left side. His back was not up to par. His arms contained too much synthol. Wolf BUTCHERED him in the posedown round. Even Dexter should have come above him and of course Victor as well. Peace.
Jason said on 22/Nov/07
I don't think it's possible to increase ribcage size, though opinion is kinda split on that one. Arnold would have had a big ribcage regardless of training. If you look up his pre-lifting measurements, he had a 41'' chest at just 15 years old and 5'11 1/2'', and a paltry 150lbs.

I can believe 56'' for Jay. Personally, I doubt as high as 58''. Another thing to remember is that size chest and upper body would look much bigger on someone 5'8'' than 6'4''.
Leung said on 22/Nov/07
Yeah Cutler's 58" chest measurement would be when his pumped up. His relaxed or cold measurement would be a couple of inches less.

I am not a Jay Cutler fan but I think he was the rightful winner of the Mr Olympia. Victor Martinez just needs a bit more size on his legs particularly thighs, then he could dominate. Martinez has got lots of room for improvement whereas we have already seen the best of Cutler, it will be an interesting competition next year.
Danimal said on 22/Nov/07
Thing is, our chest measurement had not only to do with our chest. It comprises our lats as well. One can also increase not only ones pectoralis size, but also ones ribcage size (as Arnold had done). Jay is a monster. Do I think he has a Mr. Olympia physique? NO. Do I think his chest is 58"? YES.
Jason said on 22/Nov/07
I remember he was 330lbs in the profile pic with the yellow top. Alex, you think your two friends would really be heavier than this fella? :o
Jason said on 22/Nov/07
I don't think Jay has a 58'' chest relaxed. Expanded probably. 58'' is about average for professional strongmen & they're tall, bigger men than pro bopybuilders. There's a *massive* dude who now and again posts on bodybuilding.com who says his chest is 59.5'' (he's 6'4 1/2'', too), and he'd definitely edge out Jay in measurement by more than an inch. This bloke: Click Here You can also see how big a real 22'' arm is ... and on a 6'4 1/2'', not so lean guy to boot.
Jason said on 22/Nov/07
Not sure about all this fuss about clothes lol. I always buy stuff off the rack - the only time I get stuff tailored is by absolute necessity (shirt collars and sometimes pants). Most larger sizes fits big guys who aren't fat well enough. Though tailored clothing for looks doesn't sound like a bad idea... :)

i just discoverd something, that i find strainge, i mesured my self for 3 days, in the morning i mesure 1.78 meters & then in the after noon i mesure myself again but only mesure a lil over 1.76

i find this strainge, in school the nurse said i was 1.78 so i always say 178 when people ask my height, because i think that is my true height, so i guess Jay's real height & every one's real height is the height they are in the morning!
Alex said on 16/Oct/07
I'd say 5'8 is his real height now too.
Alex said on 16/Oct/07
Danimal, whats your chest unflexed. Thats the real measurement though I think.
Danimal said on 15/Oct/07
5'8". End of story.
Jon said on 13/Oct/07
Unless Jay is wearing lifts he is 5'9.5, there is no more than 2 & half inches difference to Dino in this pic. The majority of body builders are under 6ft. Simply because the taller you get the more lanky your frame gets on average. And thanks Dave i forgot to mention Mr India, he is a total gigantism freak of the first order.

If you do some search for interviews with old school body builders alot will tell you that these modern giants are freaks of & diet led alone nature. There is little attractiveness in being a 300lb fridge monster, but it is brutal.
Danimal said on 13/Oct/07
I have a minimum 46" chest when flexed. I weigh between 205-210 pounds nowadays at 5'9.5".
Anonymous said on 12/Oct/07
Nothing over 5'8" and teen bodybuilder, you were still sucking on your seus when Jay was making a name for himself in the 1990's, with a billed height of 5'8.5" back then, NOT 5'10"...haha
Alex said on 12/Oct/07
I'm a 42 1/2 inch chest without flexing it. If so I can get to 43 inches. I have broad shoulders but not that broad. My neck is pretty big. I wear a Large for a tighter fit but if I want a more comfy fit I'll wear an XL. 2XL if I want it more loose.
Leung said on 12/Oct/07
Alex, the World’s fattest men are gigantic blob like Jabba the Hut, therefore they have no waist or chest that can accurately be measured. Weight is the only accurate measurement for them. Put them on a scale and see how many tonnes they weigh.
Alex said on 11/Oct/07
Maybe it was his waist that was 120 inches. His chest was over 100 I remember. This is with plenty of the world's fattest men.
Leung said on 11/Oct/07
Alex,
It depends on the brand but yeah for T-shirts and Polo shirts it’s either L or XL.

However, all my business shirts and dress shirts are custom tailor made. A colleague introduced me to tailored shirts a few years ago, he said to me “once you have worn tailored shirts you’ll never go back to buying off the rack” and for me I have found it very true, I now have about 30 tailor made shirts.

Most people will fit in a shirt off the rack with no problem. But because I have broad shoulders and chest but normal size waist, shirts that fit well in the shoulders and chest are always too big and baggy everywhere else, even though I have the shirt tucked into my trousers, the shirt will be very baggy looking and looks terrible and feels terrible.

Tailor shirts may be more expensive but I have found that it’s well worth it because they are perfect fit and look great. Since switching to tailored shirts I frequently get compliments and comments.
Viper said on 11/Oct/07
120 inches? Thats hard to beleive.
Alex said on 11/Oct/07
Viper, well biggest chest of all time and biggest muscular chest of all time is a difference. If you wanna go all time one of the world's heaviest men of all time had a chest like 120 inche or something around.

Leung, what size shirt do you wear than. About an XL?
Viper said on 11/Oct/07
Whats the biggest chest of all time? Ive heard of some dude having one in the 70s.
Leung said on 11/Oct/07
Yeah those bodybuilders are absolute freaks with their 55” plus chests

Naturally I’m 40 inch chest which is fairly broad but I go to the gym and my chest is 42-43 inch the past couple of years. I only do a couple of sets per week working out on chest because if I do too much chest work then my chest blows out to nearly 45 inch which I think is way too big for me.
Alex said on 10/Oct/07
Actually Jay's chest measurment is 58 inches which fits into a 4XL measurment which is 58-60. So he'd be a 4XL which could still come fit and tightish, 5XL on Jay would come a little loose actually since 5XL is for 62-64 inch chest.
My chest is 42-42 1/2 inches and a large on me does come tight for the most part but an XL I have a little room.
Your legit shirt size is something that comes fit, tighter for the most part.
Viper said on 10/Oct/07
How does any shirt fit Jay.
snrub said on 10/Oct/07
Although I have to admire his commitment, this guy is seriously overweight. 300lbs for a man around 5'9" is crazy. Half his weight would be healthy.
Evanna said on 10/Oct/07
Alex, a beast like Jay's gotta be at least 5XL shirt. My husband who is 6'2" and rather stocky (but very skinny compared to Jay!) wears 2XL or 3XL.
This is a bit off topic, but most girls I know (myself included) find body builders quite disgusting. It's OK to be muscular and well defined, but this is insane.

BBfan said on 21/Sep/07
This pic cam be hard to read because both guys are big and wide. Lets take the focus off of their width and look at the length. If you look at Jays ears and draw a line to where they line up horizontally on Dino, you can see what I am talking about. You can only see one of Dino's ears but if you line it up, it is at Jay's hair line in the front. Dino is even slouching in a bit. I think Rob is right on Dino at 6'0". Jay is about 5'8"-5'9". It all makes sense if you take focus off their width.
Viper said on 21/Sep/07
Gunther Schlierkamp is about the only bodybuilder who is over 6 foot. And he looks like a giant sometimes.
BBfan said on 21/Sep/07
You are right Alex. That was my point on the competitors in recent history that have done well. Most in recent times have been under 5'11". I think in American society, "average" height of a man is considered to be like 5'9". 5'11" and up is considered to be headed for the taller range based on society.
Alex said on 20/Sep/07
BBfan, its rare to see a bodybuilder even 5'11 and up. Most are 5'8-5'10.
Danimal said on 20/Sep/07
We can't forget "Freakzilla" Paul Dilett who was at least 6'1", but Colton, you are right. Height is 100% a disadvantage. More to fill out. Look at guys like Padilla and Priest. They appear THAT much bigger, because their bodies are that much more compact and give the illusion that they are larger than the taller guys.
BBfan said on 20/Sep/07
Colton, i dont know if you were talking to me, but my message was in sync with yours. there are few pro bodybuilders over 6'0" that in the top ranks. arnold and lou among the few. the rest that did well are those under.
Alex said on 20/Sep/07
I'd say Jay is a legit 5'8 guy now but can look as short as 5'7 because of his very massive build.
Colton said on 20/Sep/07
lol wwhat are u talking about arnold was 6 2 and hes one of the best body builders to ever live and lou ferrigno forgive my spelling was 6 5 height got nothin to do with it.
BBfan said on 19/Sep/07
alex, that is correct. the guy is gigantor in the offseason. on the scientific side of things, he actually looks bigger when leaner because more muscle is visible when the body fat is lowered for competition. im glad Rob finally got a pro bodybuilder on here. thanks Rob!
Alex said on 19/Sep/07
Isn't Cutler 270lbs in season and 310lbs offseason I read.

Dino looks like the Rock.
BBfan said on 19/Sep/07
i think you are correct Derek.
BBfan said on 19/Sep/07
that was funny Chris, lol! i know height has nothing to do with anything. being a taller bodybuilder is more challenging when it comes to putting mass on longer muscle bellies. on average, many professional bodybuilders and amateur bodybuilders that do well in competition are those that are under 6'0". check the history of professional statistics in the sport. there are a few that did very well that were 6'0" and a above. for example, Dino looks 6'0". just think if he had Jays mass how much bigger he would appear.
Danimal said on 19/Sep/07

If Dino stands straight, there's about 1 1/2"-2". Take into consideration Jay's footwear, we're looking at about 3" difference. Dino is around 6'0", or marginally under. 5'11 1/2" minimum.
Danimal said on 18/Sep/07
Jay said 5'8.5" WELL BEFORE he said 5'9". Man, I've been a bodybuilding fan for 17 of my 29 years and Jay's height was listed at 5'8.5" well before it was 5'9". Did ANYONE bother to actually look at the video I provided??

dave said on 17/Sep/07
Ronnie is only 5'10 himself now Jay is close to 5'9'' I met him. 5'8.5 and 5'10 are the right estimations. They're both pure and simply Gorillas as well.

I was wondering the same thing, I saw them beside each other many times. It does not seem to be 2 inch difference.
Alex said on 15/Sep/07
I'd say 5'7.5, 5'8 at most.
Venn said on 15/Sep/07
height comparison looks similar to the one with glen and denzel just add muscle.
Char said on 15/Sep/07
What do you think he is alex?
Char said on 15/Sep/07
Alex, Jay is probably wearing boots, signing autographs and doing siminars. Other guy probably competitor wearing flops or trainers.
Char said on 15/Sep/07
he has, at the very least, 3" on jay and dino is leaning in just a tad. has way less hair too. both guys seem to have some muscle on them but jay is stacked.
Alex said on 15/Sep/07
Coleman is about 5'10 and Cutler is 5'8 if he was lucky, more likely 5'7-5'7.5.

There is more 3 inches between them but I have a feeling that guy isn't 6'0.

These pro bodybuilders have some freaky genetics for sure, but they do get a lot of help to go along with it.
Kevin said on 15/Sep/07
the guy is huge, loot at them, even if he's short he has a bigger hands, im wondering if he took hgh injections or something
Viper said on 14/Sep/07
He has at least 3 inches on Jay. At least.
Danimal said on 14/Sep/07
I love how people say only 2" between Jay and this guy in the pic and 3" between Hogan and that football player from the 80's. Go see ANY youtube video of Jay and Ronnie from their NUMEROUS Mr. Olympia competitions and you'll see that Ronnie has him by 3" barefoot. Ask anyone on Getbig.com and they will tell you that Jay is 5'7"-5'8".
dave said on 14/Sep/07
The difference looks like 3 inches but Jay apparently has big soled shoes on. 5'8.5 is the most accurate. I think Coleman was once 5'11'' but has probably shrunk down half an inch or so.
andreas said on 14/Sep/07
Jay is straight up. Other guy is leaning down a bit probably to make sure he is in the picture or something. Have seen Jay in boots before. Comparison is right.
Dougary said on 14/Sep/07
Seen Jay in person at bodyuilding shows. Never took a pic with him. He is good about wearing low quarter boots when he making guest appearances and signing autographs. Rob is probably right about his heels.
Viper said on 14/Sep/07
Dino is a big dude but it looks like Cutler could swallow him whole. And I see more than just 2 inches there. Looks to be 3 to me.
kev said on 14/Sep/07
Been wondering about Jay. You guys seem to be right on the money. They guy with Jay looks a solid 6' and Jay right on 5'8"+. Like Ronnie, Jay is probably wearing booty down there.
Alex said on 14/Sep/07
If Ronnie has 2-2.5 inches on Jay then Jay is no more than 5'8 or could be 5'7.5.
Lynn said on 14/Sep/07
Bad pic.
Difference seems 2".
Danimal said on 13/Sep/07
They call Cutler the Fridge.

Jason, Ronnie has 2-2.5" on Jay.
HeightMaster said on 13/Sep/07
Jay is awesome, I'd definitely say he's right there at the 5'9" mark
Alex said on 13/Sep/07
I can bet that guy is more 5'10 who is with Jay. I am 6'0-6'0.5 and I have more over a guy Jay's height. More than bit more.
Alex said on 13/Sep/07
I think Cutler may be closer to 5'7 but looks at least 5'8 with that guy. Reason I say 5'7 is because this guy I knew who is 5'11 had Cutler by like 4 inches.
KT said on 13/Sep/07
5'8 1/2...close enough to the 5'9 he's listed as in the Mr. Olympia contests. They just rounded it off then.

I gotta say, this Dino person in the pic is a pretty big guy himself. He really doesn't look dwarfed in size by Cutler. Which is an impressive feat.
Bad Radio said on 13/Sep/07
i met him at the 2006 olympia. He is definitely 5'8. But one monsterous looking dude.
dave said on 13/Sep/07
Met him in Vancouver, im into piumping iron myself. Im just under 5'10'', and was about an inch or so taller. really not much. This guys an absolute house though, he said he was weighing 295 pounds at the time.

''5'8" Flat... I want Ronnie to win in 17 days, not Jay.''

Agree 5'8'' ... maybe 5'8 1/2''. How much height does Ronnie have on him exactly? Like 1.5''?
Lmeister said on 13/Sep/07
This guy looks nasty. Way too much of muscles. I mean a muscular 5'8''ish guy does look good weighing around 180 - 190 pounds, but he is a freaking monster.
Predah said on 13/Sep/07
I was always with ronnie until I saw jay's 4th document called One Step Closer

I met him at the Arnold Fitness Classic in Columbus in 2005. He's definitely above 5'8". Possibly 5'9".
