I dont know this guy but if a guy really was 5'8.75(AT NIGHT) would he really go through that crap rather than just saying "5'9". Clearly a guy whoes 5'8 flat.

Howard Dean went through the San Jose Airport a couple of years ago. I walked right by him, and there is no way he's 5' 8"; He's lucky if he's 5' 5". Short guy.

I met & posed in a picture with him a week ago. I'm 5'3, 5'8-5'9 is definitely on the head. I'll post the pic. when I get it.

Tucker Carlson exaggerated claiming he is "about 5 feet tall"...would have to say it is under your listed height here

My Father was within a few feet of him once, and he told me "5-6 at the most". My Father is a hair under 6-3, so he might have been off a bit. He said he was extremely short, though.

He always got flak for being so short, but that was because politicians are rather tall (overall), and most presidential candidates are especially tall. The reason he looked so small is because he was being compared to 6'4" John Kerry. lol
Still, I think the height he is being given, currently, is in normal shoes (at least). As for him not being sensitive about his height, I don't buy that. He always seemed to have a Napolean complex, and I wouldn't be surprised to find that he wears lifts, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he seemed to have spoken candidly about his height. 5'8" would seem appropriate unless we get some good pics showing otherwise.

I saw Howard Dean at CCNY, and he looked about 5'8.5" I would say the listing is pretty accurate.

I saw Howard Dean at a fundraiser in NYC about two years ago and remember thinking he looked between 5-8 and 9.
