Rob, any chance Villechaize could join the Bond actors tag?
His performance as Nick Nack is certainly memorable to the Bond series.

I have seen the interviews of the stars of The Man With the Golden Gun that come with the DVD, and everybody has anecdotes of the "isn't that cute" variety about Villechaize. You get the definite impression that they're all struggling to say nice things about him, and that they didn't really like him much. They are all (Roger Moore, Christopher Lee and Maude Adams) tall, strong, beautiful people, and I think they might have considered it rude and even immoral to speak ill of a dwarf.
But it would have been tough to be a grown man and have had to live in Villechaize's body, especially if you fancied yourself a lady's man. For one thing, his voice was pitched like a child's. It wouldn't have been possible for a normal woman to have regarded him as a serious lover, unlike, say, Bob Hoskins, who was quite short but also seriously virile and physically imposing.

Aw you;re cruel he always claimed 3'11! Can't deprive the little man of an inch, otherwise he might start throwing wine bottles or tabasco at you. I've heard a lot about this man. He was supposed to have had a vicious temper, was a major womanizer and a depressive alcoholic. Hard to imagine for such a little guy. WHile on location in Bangkok with the Man with the Golden Gun in 1974 he was supposed to be out partying in the nights and sleeping with Thai prostitutes.

Roger Moore refered to Herve as little big man on Friday Night with Jonathon Ross on 10/11/08. He's probably shorter than 3'11". Rob is always spot on with his estimations, 3'10" seems perfect for him, judging from the picture with Richardo Montalban. As Moore stated...what he lacked in height, he made up for down below..if you know what I mean!

I think 3'11"/119 cm is official, don't know if it's right though.
