There's a Harriet Walter lookalike on an episode of 'Wycliffe' this morning. Added to that, there's a Mick Ford lookalike, but I was wrong in both respects! 😂
Still, I've stayed with the programme as a result. It's still on, so I will check the cast at the end, just in case....
Harriet has starred alongside two of my favourite actresses - Keira Knightley, in 'Atonement' and Liv Tyler in 'Onegin', based on Alexander Pushkin's classic novel, 'Eugene Onegin'. Ralph Fiennes played Onegin. which is pronounced
O-nyay-gin, NOT as in the alcoholic beverage, and he isn't a very nice guy.
Perhaps this could be the trigger for my watching of both films, neither of which I've seen in years.
5ft7.5 for the lovely Harriet Walter, DBE. 💐

I'm watching the Morse episode 'The Day of the Devil', a truly terrifying tale about an evil Satanist who escapes from prison. 😝
Harriet plays a psychiatrist who has her own awful reasons for fooling the sick lifer, played by Keith Allen.
Harriet is taller than Keith, despite wearing flat shoes. Yes, she's definitely a typical Lee, and has her Uncle Christopher's dark, piercing eyes.
5ft7.5. 😀💐...👁️👁️

Not only is Harriet the niece of Sir Christopher Lee on her Mum's side, she is the great great great granddaughter of John Walter, the founder of The Times newspaper, so she has famous roots on both sides.
In shoes, she looks taller than Bradley Walsh in 'Law and Order UK'.
5ft7.5 😁👍🌹

⭐ I'd like to revise what I said about the part Harriet played in the 'Inspector Morse' episode 'The Day of the Devil'. She wasn't a prison officer. She was as psychiatric doctor who helped suss out the head of the Satanist. She had an ulterior motive! 😲

@ Rob - What was her peak height?

5ft 7 or a bit over I still would go for, not as tall as 5ft 8 I don't believe.

This is right up Harriet's Uncle Christopher Lee's street! Harriet is playing a prison officer in the 'Inspector Morse' episode 'The Day of the Devil', pretending to an imprisoned Satanist to be 'Asteroth's medium', learning all about Satanism so that she can humour - and understand - the Satanist, played by Keith Allen. I bet Uncle Christopher watched it and was glued to his TV set, proud of his niece's performance!
Harriet looks about 5ft7 in this, so that is what she gets.

How tall would she have been in her prime days?
Editor Rob
never realised she was in mid 60's now...

I always thought Ms. Walter was much taller, perhaps it's because she is so so slim.

Did? you know she is descended from John Walter, the founder of The Times newspaper
