@ Sandy Cowell - People certainly aren’t honest about height, it must be one of the things that people lie about most! People of all genders like to give themselves a certain number of bonus inches although you do get some women who say they are shorter than what they are but most women say they are taller than what they are. It will be rare for men to claim they are shorter than what they are but I swear they are out there. Another thing is that many people don’t actually know what their true height is anyway or the true height of others however many people will go along with other people’s duff claims to justify their own dishonest or misinformed claims! Whatever many people think of other people’s claims they will probably keep shctum if they are dishonest or don’t have a clue themselves!
🗣 “You claim what you like and I’ll claim what I like!”
🧔♂️ “I’m 5 11”! 👩 “I’m 5 8”! 👨🏻💭 “Liars, they’re 5’9” and 5’6””!
Sometimes someone comes along who isn’t full of bull 🎯, they may be honest about their own height or even tell others how tall they really are and be correct too! An honest claimer brings expressions of disbelief among others, it’s usually (but not always) disbelief about the genuine claim and this disbelief can get the person to question the claim to the point where they tell the truthful person they are wrong about their own height, in fact usually in terms of them selling themselves short! A genuine claimer causes others to think they are rumbled and that the game could be up, it’s usually written on their faces too!
It’s refreshing when some people claim to be shorter than what they are and variety is the spice of life, maybe the lady who claimed to be 4’11” wanted everyone to think was tiny and maybe she enjoyed doing this! She may well have had height on her mind more than everyone in the celebheights community! It would be great to meet men who sell themselves short, there will be some men who have gone down this route but I would prefer everyone to be honest for the sake of others and also because, in my view, everyone should be proud of themselves as long as they don’t harm anyone or anything.

@ Nik - Sooner or later, they get sussed out. With me, it took a few years for the taller ones, but I was too naïve in my twenties, and expected people to be honest. However, I only ever went with my highest ever measurement because I thought it was the right one!
When a girl told me she was 4ft11 and I could look her square in the face, I knew she was being dishonest and couldn't for the life of me understand that she wanted to sell herself short - quite literally! It proved to me that there are a minority out there who do though.... 🤷♀️

@ Sandy Cowell - Yes.many guys and gals of 5’6” fob themselves off that they are Rob’s height when they aren’t even as tall as me!

Greg doesn't look in any way short, so it just go to show that a genuine 5ft8 isn't too bad a height at all. It's just a touch below average.
I'd sure like to know how tall the guys REALLY were who fobbed themselves off to me that they were 5ft8, and bottled out - in one instance, anyway - when I took the measurer out! A friend who was a true 5ft8.5 could, in many a case, have spat on their heads! He was an intelligent sort and didn't have the need to exaggerate.
Greg gets 5ft8. 👌😄
