Gillian McKeith's Height
4ft 11 ½ (151.1 cm)
Peak height was 5ft 2 (157.5 cm)
Scottish TV presenter and author, known for hosting Channel 4 show You Are What You Eat and for appearing in series 10 of I'm a Celebrity...
In the
Daily Mail she talked about being short and having scoliosis, mentioning
"My brother-in-law used to tease me relentlessly about being a small fry. I even went so far as to be hypnotised to believe I was 5ft 10in. The funny thing is that I now always feel as if I'm the tallest person in a room," and how
"Of course, I am not an actual dwarf - I don't know how tall I am now, I never measure myself - but I suppose I am a wee thing due to the medical deformity scoliosis."
She did reference her height when younger
"I put on three stone - a huge amount for my 5ft2in frame." and revealed when she got an official diagnosis, that
"My spine was curved at the top and the bottom. So much so, [The Doctor] informed me, that I'd suffered an 8in loss in height".

Rob from the comment you left after dooms comment does that mean she could have been 5ft 10 if she hadn't had scoliosis? As she could have been 8 inches taller

Maybe the Doc was exaggerating, but it's believable that without scoliosis could have been a few inches. 8 is extreme though.

I don't think Gillian looks quite as short as 4ft11.5 in the above picture. Next time I watch one of the food and nutrition programmes she fronts, I will take her height in better than I seem to have done to date! What a shame to have lost height the way she has because she suffers from scoliosis; she obviously eats a sensible diet. That does so often seem to be the way though with wise eaters, or sometimes, it can be the conditions that they suffers from in the first place that make them revise their eating habits.
Gillian can have 5ft2 for her peak height, and I shall shave off a couple of inches for her height now.
