Watching City Hunter I thought he was at least 6ft! He has really long legs for his height which definitely helps him look taller...


I think 5ft10¼ is fair, today doesn't really look any different...

He’s not much shorter than Kane (Who’s not under 181cm).
I think 5’10.25” would fit him better, Always looked a Strong 5’10” guy.

Well if someone like DMEYER (who we all know is a legit 5'11.5" guy) met Gary and said he's 3cm shorter, then Gary would be 5'10.25".
I think that would be a fair mark for him, he still looks 5'10-10.5" range next to other celebs, he's more of a Strong 5'10er than someone like Scott Adkins!

Rob, could 5'10.25" be closer?

I feel he's much more of a strong 5'10" guy (like 10.25" or 10.5") rather than someone like Scott Adkins (weak 5'10" imo).

What's your thought on this?

Been watching this guy since the early 90s he always looked above average.
He was often in great shape too no idea where lean skinny is coming from.
I feel peak he was 5 10.5 to 5 11 good build 190 210, heavier than Don wilson.
His acting has always been weak makes good thug that's about it.

I'm surprised Gary hasn't done better as a leading man, with his martial arts ability and the fact he's a decent enough looking bloke. Not his fault the dialogue in "Epicentre" wasn't great.
Perhaps he just couldn't master an American accent? Dig, dig, Hollywood!

Gary Daniels looked virtually the same height as Jackie Chan in City Hunter (1993). He was 3 cm taller max! Either Chan is/was taller than 174 cm or Daniels is shorter than 179 cm. Also pictures of Daniels with Snipes and Stallone (sure they are lifters) tells another story. Gary Daniels is 178 cm tops!

I think Daniels maybe stoops/bows his head a little in photos, but I still think he's a legit 5'10 - so maybe Roberts is taller than listed, or perhaps wears lifts - but doesn't seem so in his photo with you! I'm confused!

Legit 5'10.5 plus 1.1 in sneakers is 5'11.6in solid 182cm i was about 184cm shoes hé seemed more than just 2cm shorter than like solid 3cm so 181cm shoes on minus 1.1 in barely over 178cm , also there was a miroir in front of us , 5'10.25 is closer , wakes 5'11 5'10.5 12noon 5'10.25 night to me hé didnt seem taller than Chris rock in person

he's a friend of my brother-in-law's , met him a few times, nice guy. He is the same height as myself, I'm 180 outa bed, 179 waling around in the afternoon, I stood with him in similar dress shoes/trainers , he was the same height as me, our eye level was dead on, he's not under 179, probably not over 180 - '5"10.5 - '5"10.75 - daily average height same as me, built like an Ox too.

This drew my attention as I'm a fan of Gary Daniels - and happen to be an honest 180cm myself!

Quite a few pictures here with Eric Roberts (178), Jackie Chan(174), Jet Li(168), Stallone(???!), and a few others - all them say to me that 180cm/(5'11) seems a little too tall for Daniels. I think he comes off taller than he is due to his lean physique.

In particular, Cary-Hiroyuki-Tagawa (the one who always plays the stereotypical asian villain) is listed as 180cm (5'11) on i_mdb - he is clearly taller than Daniels in this photo - so maybe Daniels is my like 1756cm (ish).
