Way off. I met him today and he was a strong 6'1 in shoes. I'm 5'9.5 afternoon height and about 180 cm in my boots (1 inch heal). He had a solid 2.5 to 3 inches on me. Not sure if he had any funny business in his shoes, but they looked normal from the outside.

A solid 6 footer for sure! Plus he's 72 years old and likely lost 1.5 inches minimum. Easily 6'1 peak height.

When I was 18.I knew a guy from church who wore cowboy boots and he looked 5'11" at the lowest and 5'10 at the highest, and I was wearing Nike shox. So I went to the bowling alley to go bowl with a couple girls and her family because I liked one of them. He was there too, and he bowled with us. Though the thing is when he took his boots off and both of us where in bowling shoes, he appeared only a half inch taller he could of been my height actually maybe a half inch less at the shortest. I caught glimpse of this and was like how tall are you? He was like "I'm 6 foot and a quarter." The girls where like no your not your 5'10 even the mom was like yeah your not 6ft and a quarter and he kept convincing them that he was 6 foot and a quarter. And I was like thinking how is he eye to eye when I'm measured at 5'9 and he got measure at a height that's actually consider tall and he's possibly my height at the lowest. There was another guy I know that's a inch shorter then me that claimed 6ft-6ft1. So I'm not shocked too see this weird claim from Frank Stallone in the pic with Sylvester Stallone he doesn't look like a 6'1 guy..

I have never found Sly's brother in anything, and I consider myself a fairly experienced film buff, though hardly on the lines of people like Arch Stanton, whose knowledge far exceeds mine, especially in the old film department! This is just 4 years ago with Sly in dress shoes and Frank in loafers: Click Here Click Here Both have small heels, but I think dress shoes will usually give a fraction advantage over loafers, but even assuming that's the case, Frank would be 1.5" max taller barefoot. I just don't see the angle you'd expect from lifts, nor the extra room to accommodate more than a foot: Click Here Here they are at the Golden Globes last year when Sly had dress shoes: Click Here The photo favors Sly a bit, but I don't see anywhere near 2". When Sly does have at least 2" footwear, possibly even 2.5", if anything he winds up edging Frank in flat loafers. Here they are in 2012 in similar footwear: Click Here Click Here Sly may have very well been at his peak height then and Frank was only 62 so he could as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Frank was 179 peak and 177 today, but no lower. Like most people, Frank has an ego of his own, which is likely the reason he's claimed 6'1". After having another look at the pic of Stallone with Sinatra, there really isn't more than a 2" difference, but Sinatra was obviously an avid lift-wearer at the time and even claimed as much as 5'11" for himself (according to his biographer). Now let's forget Corey Feldman and Glenn's invisible proclaimed inches; Sinatra definitely takes the cake for the most bizarro claims!

Anyway, he looked at least an inch taller than Paul McCartney: Click Here about 2 inches taller than Michael Jackson: Click Here slightly shorter than 183 cm listed (by Google) Michael Dudikoff: Click Here Click Here and here he's with 5'11" listed (again, by Google) Chuck Zito: Click Here and Zito did look taller than Mike Tyson: Click Here Click Here Click Here so I definitely wouldn't rule out a full 180 cm for Frank Stallone's peak.

Nonetheless, his 6'1" claim was pretty bizarre, but the 6' claim could really be normal if he was more a 5'11" and change guy (he could look that range) and just claimed his morning height. That's something to consider. I've not seen anything to suggest he's under Rob's listing, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was taller.

I think Rampage's guess is possible for peak, somewhere between 179-180 cm, but no less, imo. He looked around 2" shorter than 6'1" Carl Weathers, about 2" taller than 5'9" Sugar Ray Leonard and clearly taller than a possibly then 5'9" Tony Danza from 2003-2005.

But I think it may be time for a peak height. Sly is pulling off taller this year in maybe 2.5"-2.7" type footwear at the GUardians of the Galaxy 2 premiere: Click Here And 3 years ago at the Expendables 3 premiere, Sly didn't look much shorter in dress shoes: Click Here Click Here

Actually, Frank's main claim to fame, besides "Eye of the Tiger", is that he is taller than his more famous brother. He used to talk about this all the time when he was popular, and whenever he had the opportunity, he made sure that he got pictures proving that he was taller. If you check around the time of Rocky II, you will find a lot of pictures showing Frank to be taller. He also did a celeb boxing match with Geraldo Rivera a while back, and Geraldo noted that Frank was taller than him. Geraldo was listed at 5-10 at first, then grew to 5-11 when he got popular. A few years ago, there was a tv show, whose name escapes me, that had Frank, Patrick Swayze's brother, and two other brothers of famous men, and their constant joke is that they should be more famous because they were all taller than their famous siblings. Anybody remember this?
