seriously think about what your saying john....when someone says 'about' they mean under not over...if she was over she'd say al little taller....emma DOES want to be taller than the guys coz as i sed b4..when u acused me of lying, on alot of interviews or wateva they are on the hp dvds when they comment on the height of th 3, emma has sed she wants to be taller, and dan sed sumthing lyk she is always trying to make herself look as tall as him....5'5 is not tall for a girl...it is avergae height and she doesnt look awakward among dan and rupert she looks SHORT

In the ElleGirl interview, Emma could have just said she was 'about 5'5"' because either a) she does not want to be tall b)she had not measured herself for awhile or c) a combination of the two... I think either one of these possibilities is potential. Let's talk about the first one. Emma could very well not want to be tall. And there are things that she does that support this theory. For example, at premieres, awards, etc. Emma always wears really flat footwear. I have also noticed that Emma slouches a lot in pictures, especially ones when it is just her and Dan or just her and Rupert. It would be kind of contradictied her "I want to be taller than you" act, but I have an explaination for this. Teenagers who have large growth spurts kind of slouch a lot and try to make themselves look shorter because they are not used to being tall. For awhile, Emma was always the shortest out of the trio, but now she is the tallest. Okay, you can say all you want about Emma not even being 5'5", but I still strongly believe she is close to 5'7". And, I am not trying to sound arrogant, but I think my story is a good one. In the picture that I posted in my last comment (and I think it is a good one to compare heights, but who knows, it could be some mental assumption again, you know me) Emma looks as tall as Rupert, maybe even 1/2" taller and about 1.5" taller than Dan. Dan is most likely (and I say most likely because I do not want to be yelled at, I am almost positive that he does wear them whenever he goes out in the public) wearing elevator shoes which give him about 3-4 inches. Emma also has a footwear disadvantage to Rupert of about 1/2" (Rupert's shoes being around 1 inch and Emma's being around 1/2".) If Dan were around 5'3.5", Rupert around 5'6.5", and Emma around 5'7"...this picture would make perfect sense. That is why I think the three are these heights. I mean, if Emma were only 5'4" or 5'5", then how tall would Dan be...5'0"? That doesn't make sense at all. Emma looks like a tall girl with the potential to grow taller. I think my story is right, but if you guys don't want to believe it that is fine. I have seen enough pictures and I am quite confident of my guess of Emma being 5'7". Katie Leung (5 ft 5 in) is about an half an inch taller than Emma and Dan and Rupert are both taller than her so she's about 5 ft 4.5 in max. She hasn'r grown a speck since last years roundof premieres and her growth rate is about the same as Dan's (slow)

thaks wicked kid! i just cant see why people would think she is 5'5 or taller when she admitted she is 'about 5'5' ( in other words shez shorter than 5'5...probably 5'3.5 5'4) and she looked TINY next to 5'8-9 mischa brton...and that pic was only taken mid to late last year

Sorry I was not trying to ignore your comments Sianna. Emma may look about 5 inches shorter than Mischa, but that was a while ago now. And so were your other pictures. I think that Emma was about 5'5"-5'5.5" during the GoF premieres and has had a growth spurt since then. I think she is now at least 5'7". Teenage girls do not stop growing until they are in their late teens like 17 and 18. you wont shoot up like a rocket but it may seem like they arent growing at all but its in little incriments. so emma still has like 1-2 years left of growing to do. and as for the feet and hand size, im 5'6" and i wear a 7-7 1/2 U.S shoe size. and my brother is an inch taller than me and wears a size 13 in mens. it has nothing to do with height. and charlotte, how do you know how tall her parents are?

Okay I see where it is a little hard to determine height with feet, limbs, and hands, but I notice that Emma has long limbs, big feet, and big hands, so her chances of growing taller may be higher. As for Kasey's comment, she says that she was around 5'5" when she was 16 years old and grew to be 5'8.5". See, it is not impossible for girls to grow after they are 15 years old! Okay, so I am saying that Emma will grow to be at least 5'8" and is currently 5'7". An inch is not a lot to grow, especially when Emma is only 16 years old. So, let's say that Emma is 5'6" or even as short as 5'5" (let it be known that I firmly believe Emma is 5'7", I am just regarding some other people's opinons too). 2-3 inches is not a lot to grow, Kasey grew 3.5". So, maybe my prediction is more believable because there is a real life parallel with Kasey.

Honestly,more than one person would have noticed if Emma has a major growth spurt or was remotely tall.From what I've seen of both her parents,her Mother looks to be around 5 ft 4 in and her Dad no more than 5 ft 9 in.

umm john on Daniels height page u sed that u had taken the whole hand and feet thing way too far...so y say now that u havent? and how on earth would u no wat the average size of a 16 year olds feet are??? i just think that it is ridiculous that sum people could think she is 5'8 now when only a year ago not even she stated being about 5'5....im sure is she grew dramatically she would have sed something...she could grow to 5'8 but i highly doubt it

Okay, I finally found a picture of Emma and her family! I know a few weeks ago somebody commented that she had short parents, but I throughly disagree. This picture is a couple years old so Emma must be in the 5'4" to 5'5" range. Her mom looks to be at least 5'8" and her dad is easily over 5'10", maybe even closer to 6 feet. So, if your parents are those heights, I htink it is pretty obvious you will grow to be tall.

However, I have looked at a few pictures of Emma's feet, and they look above average, quite large actually. She also has really, really big hands (extremely long fingers), so I do not think 5'8" is a crazy prediction for her. Also, here is a picture of Emma and Bonnie Wright. Bonnie is around 5'5" (Rob I think you should add Bonnie to this site), but as anyone can conclude, Emma towers over Bonnie. This is from GOF, so it is pretty recent. Emma easily looks 3 inches taller than Bonnie, and she is not even standing up straight. So let's say that Bonnie is 5'4" in this picture. Even with rounding down for Bonnnie's height, Emma is 5'7". So, Emma could very well be taller than 5'7" in this picture. I think that 5'8" is a very reasonable future height for Emma as I said.

No offense taken Charlotte, I was not talking to you personally, everyone as a whole. As for her feet and hands, I just don't see where people are coming from. They look very large in my opinion, but I am not going to guess an actual size because I am afraid people will scream at me. I just want you guys to know that I think they look quite large, and saying that she is definitely 5'6" or more know, I think she will grow to be at least 5'8". When I look at her, she looks like she will grow more. She is already quite tall now and I think she will continue to grow, obviously. Andy yes sianna, it is hard to judge, so I am just guessing a bit. But a size 7 shoe is not large, for a girl. Most of my friends who are girls wear a size 8 shoe. I think the average is size 8. So, this is what I think. Emma will grow to be AT LEAST 5'8" and Dan and Rupert will not grow anymore. But, as human height is extremely difficult to judge, Emma could grow to be 6'0", we never know. lol

She hasn't grown more than half an inch since the oldest of those pictures,so I don't understand where you are coming from,unless,of course,you see her as a tall girl compared to what you are used to (I mean no offense by that).She does have shortish legs and small feet,and they seem to be the main indication of height,so logically,she won't grow past 5'6" (considering she is 5'4" now).Her arms are large for her size,but not so long that they shout 'Tall girl!'.Look at a female,who is,say, 5'8 minimum (if you know any) and you'll notice,most of them have extremely long hands,even at that height,probably 2 inches longer than Emma's.

She hasn't grown more than half an inch since the oldest of those pictures,so I don't understand where you are coming from,unless,of course,you see her as a tall girl compared to what you are used to (I mean no offense by that).She does have shortish legs and small feet,and they seem to be the main indication of height,so logically,she won't grow past 5'6" (considering she is 5'4" now).Her arms are large for her size,but not so long that they shout 'Tall girl!'.Look at a female,who is,say, 5'8 minimum (if you know any) and you'll notice,most of them have extremely long hands,even at that height,probably 2 inches longer than Emma's.

I don't think people CHOOSE to wear hipster jeans because they HAVE long legs, it is because they're in fashion, I don't think we should use her choice of clothing to judge her height, it seems a little inaccurate. All this debating about the size of her limbs is useless in determining her future height because it is the size of a person's feet that is the most accurate. I disagree sianna, you cannot accept the fact that Emma is tall. And I have noticed that you have no information to support what you are saying, you just say it. I just made a huge comment saying why I think Emma is at least 5'6.5" and you guys just say "oh, no she has to be 5'5"." I think that you guys are the ones in denial. And for the shoe thing, I know that all shoes have height, but I am just saying that Emma's boots have quite a bit less height than Rupert and Dan's. The head tilting thing, it gives the impression of looking taller, but in reality it makes you shorter. You know what I mean? Whatever..even the school shoes I am wearing today had to be minus 2cm if I am wearing my school shoes to measure my height.
My slippers are like 1.5cm in length...and if my height shows that I am 162.5cm, I have to minus it with 1.5cm and 161cm is my height. Unless I was measured barefooted...which it would take a while to clean my feet in school.

I think that Emma must be at least 5'6.5" for a few reasons...
1) In the pictures she looks AT LEAST 2 inches taller than Dan.
-in the pictures all three are standing in the same position
-when Emma has her head tilted, she is losing height not gaining height, when you tilt your head you lose height, you do not gain height, basically, if she made her head straight she would be even taller
-as for the shoe "issue", I really do not understand where you guys are coming from...Yes, Emma is wearing boots, but did you see how thin they are? They are not the traditional thick soled boots. Also, the heel is LESS THAN 1/2". I have a good picture that I will show you. And I notice that people are not considering Rupert and Dan's shoes. I know we think that guys usually have no heels on their shoes, but a lot of times they do. Rupert is wearing converse, which have about an inch sole, giving him a footwear advantage over Emma, but amazingly (at least in some people's minds) Emma looks as tall as him. As for Daniel's shoes, THEY ARE HUGE! Have you guys seen them? They have at least a 2 inch heel on them therefore giving him a huge footwear advantage over Emma (oh, and nobody has gotten back to me on the lifts??) Emma looks about 1-2 inches taller than him in the pictures, so Emma may very well be more than 3 inches taller than him barefoot.
-As for the camera angles, I know the second picture Emma has the camera advantage, but it is not that much. to amberlee: i meant to get an old on and a new one to prove that Emma has always been smaller than Dan...and i doubt that she's beding as 1. Youd can't see her legs and 2. I have seen the whole picure of it ( but was unable to copy it) and Emma and Dan are both standing firmly without bending.

Just to let you all know. Girls dont stop growing in height until they have reached their late teen years like around 17 and 18 years old. ive stopped growing because i have reached that stage. before that i grew tons. so emma still has about two more years of growing to do. she may look like she is done growing but do we know that for sure? have you guys read the how to measure a celebrities height from the column to the right? this could change your opinion. but like ive said before search around and do some research. and check the dates!!!! on screen 5'6" doesnt look all that tall because of camera angles and such. so just because she looks shorter doesnt mean she is. i still think you guys should try comparing heights of her co stars with her. we could all get different results. just please try it and see what you come up with.

Yeah, I think she is pretty much done too, although, she could stop growing for a while then have another growth spurt later and reach 5'6"- that's what happens to the girls on my mum's side of the family (which is probably a bit weird).

emma and dan have the same height. in the london press conference, emma was wearing chuck taylor shoes and it can add an inch to her height. dan was wearing a lethear shoes and i think it can add like 2 inches to his height. in the picture, dan was like an inch taller than emma. so, if you remove the shoes, they'll probably have the same height!
emma and dan have the same height. in the london press conference, emma was wearing chuck taylor shoes and it can add an inch to her height. dan was wearing a lethear shoes and i think it can add like 2 inches to his height. in the picture, dan was like an inch taller than emma. so, if you remove the shoes, they'll probably have the same height!

if she said she was 5'5" , than I say she is 5'5", the most you can do is add or take an inch to/from her height. There is know way someone inflated or decreased their height by 2-3 inches as some of you are impling she has by staing she is 5'2" or 5'7". I hope this makes sense.

Glenn said 5'4 for daniel, so using his estimate, you get 5'3.5 for emma. If Glenn understimated a bit. 5'4.5 for dan, and 5'4 for emma.

okay i have been to tons of Harry Potter sights and most of them say Rupert is around 5'11". and if you take a look at Emma in the 4th movie she's about 3-4 inches shorter than he is making her about 5' 6" and up. Robert who plays Cedric is 6' 1" and she is about a head shorter than he is and my guy friend is the same height as Cedric and I'm about a head shorter than he is and I'm 5'6". there is a picture of Emma Robert and Katie at one of the premieres and where she comes up to Robert is about where i come up to on my friend. she definitely is taller than Dan but i say she is no taller than 5' 7"

To Cassie: You can argue all you like, but I still don't believe the girl is 5'5. Tom Cruise claimed he was 5'9. Brad pitt claimed he was 6'1. Carson Daly said he was 6'3. Are they those heights? No. So, her saying 5'5 really doesn't do much for me. Until I see something that makes her look her claimed height, I won't believe it. That's just the bottom line. Maybe she is 5'5. I'm acurrately measured at 5'2.75" To give her a little extra for any optical illusion or error on my part, I see the most at 5'3.75" or 162 cm. Where in the hell is the 5'5+ coming from?

No, I do not fall under "most girls" because I have genes for late growth. Most of my female classmates didn't grow more than an inch since their freshman year of high school (age 14/15). I grew 5-6 inches since my freshman year.
Emma IS almost 16, but she is also almost 5' 6"... Daniel is about 5' 6" now and I really don't see much of a height difference between them anymore. And when Emma is standing up straight, she looks slightly taller than Katie.
So maybe Emma's full height will be 5' 6"?

As for what Mouldy said, that is completely true. Most girls are done growing by 15/16. Some even sooner! My neighbor Katelyn is 5' 6" and she just turned 13 and my brother's friend's little sister Anna is 5' 5" and she is 12. Considering the heights of their parents, and that both of their moms were done growing at their ages, I think they're about done.

As for what Mouldy said, that is completely true. Most girls are done growing by 15/16. Some even sooner! My neighbor Katelyn is 5' 6" and she just turned 13 and my brother's friend's little sister Anna is 5' 5" and she is 12. Considering the heights of their parents, and that both of their moms were done growing at their ages, I think they're about done.
It's funny to hear these girls who are 13 and 5' 7" talk about how they're going to be 6' 1" or something when they are probably done growing (most of them are taller than their mothers).
Emma Watson? We'll see. She really looks closer to 5' 6" now, at least to me, but I really doubt she'll be more than 5' 7" even though she's been growing about an inch a year since she was 13 and 5' 3". Some people take that into account and assume she'll grow an inch a year until she's 20 and end up at 5' 10"-- not likely!

Looking older doesn't necessarily mean you're done growing. I had to shave at 13 and carry ID to prove I was only a kid when going to the movies so I could (rightfully) get in on kids' prices ... and I'm still growing in my 20s!

I think that I am going to have to agree with Emily and the others who think Dan is done growing. Just a question, but doesn't he look more mature than the others? Some examples: his voice started to crack in the first movie and his face is more defined even than Rupert's. Also, he is 16 years old. If he was going to continue to grow in height, he would look less mature. Most guys say that they stop growing at around 19 to 20, which would give Daniel 3 to 4 more years to grow, but consider his looks. He looks way more mature than Rupert. I think that he is 5'4" to 5'5". Emma is 57" to 5'8" (but may be taller according to those pictures when she is standing next to Rupert) and Rupert is 5'10". I think that Rupert is probably done growing, but may grow to be a little taller. Emma, on the other hand, will grow a lot taller. In my opinion, she will grow to be as tall or taller than Rupert. From the way I see it, she is taller than Dan by quite a margin already. After seeing those pictures Natalie provided, she does not look much shorter than Rupert. I think she will grow to be at least 5'10". This is just what I think and if you disagree, please leave comments, but please do not be rude aobut it, I do not want to fight.

I agree with you Emma (Dan's girl). Wicked Kid: Could you please settle down? Don't call Emma short because she is not and she is still growing. Just calm down and take a deep breath. Nobody konws their exact heights, but from what I see Emma is 5'6.5" to 5'7". In my opinion Dan is 5'4" to 5'4.5" and is most likely done growing. He looks more mature than the others. He is really hot it is just that he is proabably done growing taller in height and will be short. Emma is so pretty. From the photos that Natalie provided, it seems that Dan is 2 to 3 inches shorter than Emma. Emma is wearing flats and he is wearing dress shoes which would mean that he would be 3 to 4 inches shorter than Emma which would make my predictions accuarte.
