Watched him in a couple great 60s flicks recently. I think 6ft 2 solid is close...could have been 6ft 2.25in

Rob, what do you make of these clips?
Knight Rider 2000 in 1991

Cameo in Baywatch Nights in 1997, right before he passed

Ed still looks roughly 6ft2 in the Knight Rider movie I feel. The Baywatch Nights clip has awkward angles but he was likely still over 6ft1 next to Hoff. Notice Eddie Cibrian (solid 6ft1) and Dorian Gregory (solid 6ft2) are there as well.
I think a very strong 6ft2 peak up to 6ft2½, more 6ft2 flat by Knight Rider, possibly struggling with it by the time the movie was made and 6ft1-1½ zone at the end

Mulhare looked very tall in Von Ryan's Express. 6ft 2.25 is possible.

Rob, perhaps 6ft2½ is closer?
I’m hesitant to give 6ft3 even though he does look it in that clip with James Coburn that Arch contributed
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 4/Feb/23
Good find, Arch. Yeah he’s definitely more than an inch taller than Coburn in that scene, he’s slouching aswell. I watched some Knight Rider and when straightened he still looked about 6ft2 with Hoff. He’d possibly lost a bit by then.
Rob, maybe he was a bit over this in his prime?
Editor Rob
He did have 6ft 2 and 3 mentions back in early career.

Was he wearing lifts in Our Man Flint? Check out 1 hr 20 range with James Coburn, he actually looks nearer 6 ft 3 and a half there!!

He looked 6ft 2 in Mac Gyver's episode, next to Richard Dean Anderson, in 1986.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 30/Dec/20
I'd have said less than 2in

Rob, I found an excerpt from a This Is Your Life episode they did w/h Hasselhoff

Mulhare looks only an inch shorter!
Editor Rob
would have said he was more than an inch shorter

He he! I thought I was looking at Vincent Price just now!
At 6ft2, Edward is 2" shorter though.
There was a boy in my class called Vincent and, along with his little blond friend, Paul, they always were 'the tiny ones' of the bunch. The reason was simple; they were born in the Summer months and when you're a kid, and the youngsters can be little short of whole year's age difference because our school classes were so small, those born in the latter part of the school year were much shorter. They sprouted up at 15 - and then some! I met Paul 6 years after having left school, and I had to look right up to him! I'd say he'd grown to over 6ft and the same must have been the case with Vincent.
Edward gets 6ft2. 😁👍

He looked at least 3in shorter than Hasselhoff but was well into his 60's. I can definitely buy 6ft2 as a young man...
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 22/Jan/17
May have lost a bit by Knight Rider and was 6ft1 range at that point…
Andy said on 19/Dec/15
There was a good 3-4 inch height difference between Hasselhoff and Mulhare on the 80s show.
I would say Mulhare was about 6' to 6'1" during the Knight Rider show, having lost an inch or two as he got older.

Yes but remember Hasselhoff had a habit of wearing cowboy boots, which would give him a good boost. In some scenes, there looks to be 2 inches or less between them.
ken said on 13/Jun/13
at his middleages perhaps he was that height but in knioght rider he looked 8-9 cms shorter than 193-4 david hasselhoff, so at that time 6.1 was his height
LeeM said on 9/Jan/09
I always thought he was 5' 11" as Patricia McPherson is 5'7.
Leo said on 25/Nov/08
Taller than I thought but when I think about it, in KnightRider he was fairly close to Micky Knight :D
AlexMiles said on 14/Jun/08
His height was 6'2". He was never shorter than that not until he was in his 70's. He had back problems which caused him to slouch a little, but anyone next to David Hasslehoff would seem short.
Gonzalo said on 27/Sep/06
I agree. 6`2 sounds accurate

If David Hasselhoof wore boots on Knight Rider that made him 6'6", then i agree that Mulhare was around 6-2.That seems realistic.

When I saw him standing next to David Hasselhoff, I guessed he is quite tall, but I didn't believe that he is 188 cm.
Frank2 said on 26/May/06
I worked on that awful series and Mulhare was around 6'2". Back then when Hasselhoff starred as Michael Knight he was at least 6'4" and wore boots with two inch heels making him 6'6".

Maybe he was this height in his prime, but certainly not in the Knight Rider. He was like 3 or 4 inches shorter than 6'4 David Hasselhoff. I would say he was more like 6' to 6'1.
Viper652 said on 22/May/06
Yep, I always guessed his height was around 6-2 in Knight Rider.
