Derek is 10.75 inches taller than the late Michael Jeter, who starred in The Green Mile. That, coupled with the fact that he’s in a completely different occupation and has a different nationality, has answered my question.

Rob, how tall do you think Roger Clemens is? When he was on the Astros with Andy Pettitte, he sometimes looked a couple inches shorter. I think Pettitte is more like 6’4, although he is listed 6’5.

I'd imagine Dan Marino is similar to my height, roughly 6'4" immediately out of bed and closer to 6'3.25" at night. You could easily measure me at 6'3 5/8" at a sports combine, too.

So, there was a good chance he didn’t have his shoes on yet? But, that being said...Dan was noticeably taller. And we know for a fact that during his Spring Semester Junior year @ Pittsburg (spring practice for NFL Scouts) March 1982 at the age of 20....Dan Marino was officially measured barefoot @ 6’3.625” or 6’3-5/8” ...so, they could still put Jeter at exactly 6’2”. Even if he did have his shoes on & they were in equal footwear??

Yeah, it's not a huge difference, but Jeter is pretty consistently taller than A-Rod. They can look pretty close because the shoulder heights are very close from what I've seen. Jeter has a longer neck.
