Went for a checkup today and the nurse told me I was 5'3".
So I said, "Oh, actually I'm 5'4."
And she was like, "Uh, no hun. You're 5'3."
It can't be true. It simply can't. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN 5'4".

No, I didn't say anything. But the only times I got overmeasured were when I had thick hair.

@ Christian 6'5 3/8" - Did you tell the nurses your real height?

@Nik
That happens a lot. I've been overmeasured several times by nurses before.

A nurse measured me and told me that I was over 5'8" when in actual fact I am just under 5'7.5", I then told her my true height!

Maybe she didn't push it down hard enough, or the device wasn't attached properly.
I know in my local Doctor's surgery, I've been in 2 of their Nurse rooms and one has an old antique looking stadiometer attached to the wall - whenever I see it, I wonder how the hell they measure men over 6ft 3, because that's as tall as it goes! In the other room, they have one of those tapes attached to the wall you pull down...they spent £200,000 renovating this surgery and couldn't afford proper stadiometers. I feel I should donate one of mine!

That was my exact same conversation with a nurse who measured me a few years ago. I always thought I was 5'10, and turns out I was only 5'9. Changed my life forever.

Looks that tall proportionally. I think even 5'3.25 could be possible.

I love it that Denyse said, "Oh, actually I'm 5'4." And she was like, "Uh, no hun. You're 5'3." It can't be true. It simply can't. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN 5'4"!

@ Christian 6ft5 and three eighths: You make an excellent point there! I'm sure there are people who see themselves as taller, in the same way as some see themselves to be plumper! Obviously, it could never be as disproportionate as the body dismorphia condition, but I've had both. I used to reckon I was as tall as my 5ft4 friends and even the occasional 5ft5. My optimum height was 5ft2.5.
Denyse looks perfectly happy and healthy, and hasn't let that inch upset her as she's spoken openly about it. She gets 5ft3 and a heart emoji! ❤️

Goes to show you that not everyone who exaggerate height are lying on purpose. She genuinely thought she was 5'4".

Wow somebody (the nurse) that is actually height objective and doesn't gift additional inches left and right with random measurements.

Don't let nurse near Shawne Merriman!
