I saw Denise on a Celebrity Chase repeat tonight and she was really funny and cheerful.

Thanks, Denise, for lifting my spirits! 😀💐

I'd like to see a page for Johnny Vaughan. He once claimed 6ft1 on his radio X show but he isn't that tall. A mirror article described him as being 5ft11.5, which may well have been a claim from him and I think 5ft11.5 looks about right give or take. At least 5ft11 but not a true six foot sounds fair.

Johnny was always a bit smug/cocky, in your face sort of bloke, typical Essex cheeky chappie but he was perfect at the time for the Big Breakfast. Does more radio nowadays I think since he went bald! He was shorter than Ritchie Sambora, though Sambora had on thicker boots I think.

@Rob, surprised to see now listing for Johnny Vaughan. Hard to believe it was 25 years ago I was watching the two of them on Channel 4! I think I had him about at about 5 ft 11 but not sure.
Editor Rob
been so long since Vaughan's name entered my mind...I do remember though he was 2-3 inches taller than Denise when she was in heels, so at least 5ft 11 range.

I had no idea that Denise was in 'Neighbours'!

She was co-hosting 'This Morning' for a time in 2005 and I really enjoyed her Summer spell on the show, watching it every morning. I never usually do that!

5ft6, but looks taller. 🌹👱‍♀️🥀

Woah, I always assumed Denise was somewhere in the 5' 7"-to-5' 8" range. 5' 6" seems a little short for her (even if she has said that herself). If she hasn't been in the habit of weighing herself, then I doubt she has been in the habit of measuring her height either (and, thus, doesn't have an accurate number).

This women is the real proof how many VS and other models lie about thier height...This woman is really very honest about her height, and she seems to me taller then some VS models for example taller the Lilly Aldrige, M.Kerr, Kendall Jenner and A.Ambrosio.

She regularly looks 5'7 or 5'8" I think, she looks about that above. But those beach pics I really get a 5'9"-5'10" impression by the legs and arms. 5'6" is upper average for a woman, but she pretty much looks questionably a tall woman. She looks much taller than Kelly Brook and Pamela Anderson.

Crazy, in those volleyball stretch pics her legs and arms look every bit like a 6 ft pro volleyball player. To think that G is taller than her is just plain bizarre!!!

Would you agree with me that her body frame gives the illusion of 5'9"-5'10"? I mean, to think that she is the same height as Kelly Brook, she looks a good 3-4 inches taller by her proportions doesn't she? She looks nothing less than a tall woman in those photographs.
Editor Rob
she seems a well proportioned girl, can probably give off 5ft 7-8 impression to some people

I think you misunderstood what I meant, not saying people shrink at 30 I was saying the older generation were smaller than they are today, the average height for a woman back in 1950 was 5ft 2 whereas it would be 5ft 4 now so if you count all the older women who were born about 1930 it brings the average down overall
theblacklab said on 25/Feb/13
little sue, perhaps. I don't think people have really shrunk by 30 though, if they have it would be fractional. Maybe 50+, yes. In my experience I've never known a family member under 65 who's shrunk from their peak height. My aunt was 5'9" when she was 20 and we recently measured her and she still hits that mark. I would actually like 5'3.5" to be average though (makes me at 5'5"-5'5.5" seem tall)- and yes, it definitely seems women are getting taller these days (improved diet etc.) albeit, only a little.

theblacklab, I agree 5ft 4 - 5ft 5 average for all ages of women in Britain but over 30 its down to about 5ft 3.5

Little Sue, I work by percentiles rather than around the 5'4" average. I would count anything roughly 20-25% either side of the average (50%) to be in the "average" range. 5'6" exactly is roughly in the 74th percentile for a fully grown woman while 5'2" is only in the 18th percentile. Personally (although others may disagree) I consider 5'4" - 5'5" to be "very average" (if you could say such a thing) and 5'3" to 5'6" to be "average range".

Jolie is another 5 ft 6 woman who can seem 5'8"-5'9".
Arch Stanton said on 23/Feb/13
5 ft 6 for women is like 5 ft 11 for men, upper average but will look tallish to a lot of people. She definitely pulls off looking tall in heels with her legs. I always used to think of her as a "leggy blonde" in the 90s, I thought she was a similar height to Zoe Ball for some reason!
little sue said on 22/Feb/13
I'd agree that 5ft 6 is the smaller side of tall, if it falls into average then you have to take 5ft 2 as average.
theblacklab said on 21/Feb/13
Her legs appear exceedingly long, but I've always found that a 5'6" girl can be deceptive height-wise. Someone who's 5'6" is on the taller side of "average", just creeping into "tall" territory (anyone who's over this mark is "tall" in my books, and anyone who's 5'9"+ is "very tall" - seeing as they are in the 95th-96th percentile). So I definately can believe she's the full 5'6", as she can often appear 5'8" range.
Arch Stanton said on 19/Feb/13
I actually thought she was 5'8"-5'9".
