David McCallum's Height

Scottish actor, best remembered for roles in TV series The Man from Uncle and NCIS. In film he appeared in The Great Escape, A Night to Remember, The Karate Killers and Mosquito Squadron. In a 1965 interview, he mentioned his height, saying "I'm 5'8 1/2".

McCallum was approximately 2-3 inches shorter than his co-star Robert Vaughn on "The Man from U. N. C. L. E.". Vaughn is usually listed at 5'9", which would make McCallum approximately 5'6.5".

It could be that the actorshe works with in NCSI are quite tall and the character Abby wears huge lifts, but he looks like he is in a hole in relation to them most of the time. He would've been taller when younger but in this show I tend to agree with Mr. R. - 5'5" today.

David is 5'7". However, during UNCLE he wore lifts in his shoes, so you cannot judge his height based on other actors he's standing next to. A better judge would be how he looks as "Ducky" on NCIS. I haven't heard anything about his wearing lifts for that series.

Editor Rob I've seen barbara at a distance before but it's impossible to say, a few years ago. She certainly looks more of a 5ft 8 possibility than mccallum does, there is a chance david has said a shoe height for his peak.

I seem to remember, back in the U.N.C.L.E. days, that his height was stated as 5'7" and Vaughn at 5'9". In the Great Escape, despite good angles for Attenborough, MacCallum appears marginally taller.
