Yeah, definitely not near 6'3 with Josh.
Not that it changes much, but I'd personally drop at least a quarter inch from this listing. If you see him with Archie Madekwe in Gran Turismo and even more so in premiere photos, he can struggle to look 6'2 a lot (to say the least)!
Though at this point I wonder if Archie might be downplaying his height... His 6'4-6'5 claim certainly puts to big shame height claimers like Momoa and David!

I don't know, he's heavyweight guy, so shrinking more than normal is very possible. But 6'3.5" is definitely morning measured height and one inch less in the evening!

I wouldn’t go above this listing and 6ft2½ is also a possibility. Not quite a full 6ft3 guy from what I’ve seen. On Stranger Things has looked 6ft2 flat (won’t go quite that low for him). The average guess is spot on, you could in all honesty give him the 6ft2⅝(189.5cm) listing.

He should have no reason to claim 6ft4...and 6ft3½ sounds even more ridiculous as he’s using fractions to make it sound more credible. Thats the new trend with inflators. He’s in the strong tall range and would rarely ever get dwarfed unless playing basketball with pros so absolutely absurd that he’d do this

Lol what's with all these 6'2 flat comments. Just look at the guy next to Winona Ryder, he makes her look 5ft tall. He also towered Charlie Heaton who everyone is convinced is a strong 5'8 (someone even somehow thought he was 5'9)

Yeah, his 6'4 claim is a bit... annoying at worst? I've seen way worse claims than that. In cm, that's barely a 3 cm exaggeration, which isn't that bad. Besides, he did say 6'3 ½ at first, implying that he is rounding up based on that, and if so then he's exaggerating his height by a godawful 2 cm, about the size of a carpenter ant

Strong 190 cm, could probably measure a few mms above it. I doubt he falls much under it anyway

More like 6'3 Max. He's bare minimum the same height as @Ben Bell's 6'2 1/2 friend and pretty similar in height with Chris Hemsworth. The difference between them isn't even an inch, it's a cm at most, if even. The scene they had together, Chris was wearing military combat boots and David in socks. And the link Robbe posted shows that at times he can even look the full 6'3 if you compare him to the other 6'3+ to 6'4 celebrities that fan met.

On Justin Long’s podcast he talked about gaining weight for season 2 of Stranger Things and claimed to hit 270 pounds. He said he then lost 70 pounds for the following season. He said he was also shooting Black Widow and had to wear padding to match his bulk and fat from earlier in the filming. Oddly enough height was not discussed as Long tends to fixate on when his guests are perceptibly taller than himself.

As far as previous discussions on David's weight and overall size go... People's weights vary, he probably was somewhere around 240 pounds when he claimed that weight. Maybe he's been higher than that too, but in the above photo my guess would have only been 250 anyway. I don't believe he is claiming his height in bare feet though, when he says 6'4". I think 6'2.5", maybe 6'2.75" tops is far more realistic. His 6'3.5" - 6'4" claim would make sense but only if he's measuring in shoes. I'd classify him as a big guy, but he's not some sort of giant. He's just a tall man with a big head and generally endomorphic tendencies.

COuld he really only weight 240 pounds (108 kg) ? Both my uncle, and grandfather was/ is 6´1 1/2 and my father 6´2 , they all are in pretty good shape with low bodyfaat considering the age and they all weigh around 97-100 kg ( now they are bog boned guys liek john cena but David is also pretty big boned) He is a little taller than all of them and by looking at him he have atleast 10-12 kg more bodyfat than all of them. I think he is closer to 112-114 kg.Maybe that interview is couple years ago? About his height... i remember when i saw 1 season of stranger things my thought was " not under 188,5 and not over 190,5. He could be 190 cm but i guess if he got measured he could be a fraction shy of that, about 189,5.

@Ian I didn’t get my strength from sitting around all day. I play rugby (and was in fact around 250lbs when I started) and train in jujitsu. I also eat well, especially recently because I’ve started a new diet with more spread out meals to combat a case of gastritis

Chaos: The tall-is-not-necessarily-big idea springs from my own experience as a very tall guy who is also very thin. When I was twenty I was six-four, but weighed about 165 pounds. I am, in fact a middle-sized guy with unusually long bones. Height is so distinctive that I am often called big, which I'm not. I've been called a giant. Hey, if people want to believe that let 'em, but I'm just not big except in one direction. I do however have a loud, deep voice and I love to use it, which is usually less than optimum luck for people in my near vicinity, and especially if they would like to speak too.

You on the other hand are big. Over six foot and moe than 200 pounds is sizable for sure.

I think, Chaos, that not all tall people are big, and not all people of average height are average, and not all short people are small. James Stewart was six foot three, but weighed only 135 pounds in youth. I wouldn't call anyone who weighed 135 pounds big. Robert Shaw was only five foot ten, but was a big guy. He had a big-boned, powerful look, a strong square head, and a domineering manner. Bob Hoskins, who was five foot four, had the strength and dominant virility of a big guy.

Henry Fonda and Lee Marvin were about the same height, right around six foot one or two. You don't really think of Fonda as big, but you do Marvin, even though he was surprisingly light. It's the polar masculinity and the deep powerful voice and the big brutish face that suggested size and strength he really didn't have on a purely physical level.

David Harbour is really just huge. He's way up there in height, and he's big boned and heavily muscled. In Stranger Things he just overpowers everybody. Of course most of the cast of that show were children, but even if they were adults, he'd be bigger than anybody else.

A claim of six foot four turns up quite a lot in actors who are not quite that tall. I think that this is because six foot four is a benchmark height, in that it is a short form indicator of a big guy. John Wayne, who may have been a little shorter than six-four, often played characters who were explicitly described in scripted dialogue to be six foot four. Dwayne Johnson has played characters described as six foot four, even though he is conspicuously short of that height. Rock Hudson was taller than six-four, but used that number as his official height. Six foot four may be just an attractive number.

David Harbour is by any measure physically huge, and he's close to six foot four. Six foot four is just move guy slang for big.

I really am six foot four, and when I tell people that that is my height a common reaction is that I must be taller. I suspect that a lot of guys who are six foot two or three (those pathetic midgets) have been claiming six-four, which has distorted some people's sense of how tall it really is.

I think if Harbour had equal footwear with Hemsworth in that Extraction scene, they'd be eye to eye. Hemsworth might only edge him by a few mm.

Harbour only looked around 3cm shorter barefoot. Hemsworth was wearing combat boots of some sort which would give around that much height.

Dwayne Johnson i believe has a very poor height perception because he guessed Kevin Hart at 5'5" or 5'6". But i do believe he's just a liar. He met taller people like Charles Barkley, Michael Strahan, Joe Manganiello and still insists he's his billed height. I think he knows he's not that tall but is desperately trying to keep that "big tall buff guy" role in movies.

He also said just 6-4 in one of his quotes, I mean I get that he will hit that in a boot, but adding 1.5 inches to your barefoot height is lying. Claiming you’re morning is ok, or rounding up is ok, but not in thick boots. This guy is waaaay taller than 6’2 - he looks 6’4 in person. almost 6’5. I was at the skin cancer foundation gala this week as someone’s guest. He was there and easily as tall as a pro basketball player. Not a doubt in my mind he’s 6’4. I stand at 6ft for reference. He is certainly a tall guy at nearly 6'3, and he is quite a big guy too, but I think, objectively speaking, he's somewhat exaggerating his size. He's rather broad-shouldered and seems to have a thick lower body, but his wrists look to be of average size, so his bone structure is not massive. It's hard to tell what he weighs, but perhaps he is 225-230lbs? Obviously he has a large physical presence, so in that sense he is certainly 'large'.

I saw David Harbour in Union Square two nights ago. He was walking with his girlfriend who is short and blond. Anyway, I said "hi" for a second (yeah, I was that guy). He was polite. Anyway. He's 6'2. Maybe a smidgen over, but 6'3 is wishful thinking. Broad, burly guy. 6'2 and a quarter is my guess.

I think his listing is pretty legit. He did look around half an inch shorter than Matthew Modine at the SAG Awards and pretty close in height to Liev Schreiber and Michael Shannon.

I wonder how tall the actor is who plays his doofus deputy on Stranger Things, John Reynolds, as he looks always at least a solid couple inches taller than Harbour. Maybe Reynolds is a strong 6'5", I haven't watched the well-reviewed Search Party which Reynolds is on as well.

Yeah, it's possible Denzel had some bigger footwear, he also looked not that much than Schreiber in The Manchurian Candidate but in some premiere photos with Schreiber, Denzel can look pretty close to 3 inches shorter. I was wondering if that 6'1" claim for Harbour that was floating around on the net for a while was from an agency bio height, seems unlikely though. He never looks under 6'2" and mostly solid in the 6'2"-6'3" range.
