Wow looks like he was at gunpoint for this photo..
Gotta say he looks short most the time but he does seem to have bad posture.
He was in his 40s in the 80s so looking 5 8 then he was likely never 5 9.
My guess was 5 8 in his prime at 70 something likely under that mark.
He is a good actor cool voice just under average height.

5'9" seems optimistic. He typically looks 5'7" or 5'8", even when he was younger.

He used to be 5'9''when he was younger nowadays I think he is closer to 5'8'', but now I realized something I think the mans man Burt Reynolds has never been even close to 6'0'' unless he has lost more than 2 inches during the years...Rob U should check out the Crew. Burt Reynolds appears about 1.5 inches taller than Dan, but he is wearing shoes with pretty high heels...Maybe 5'8'' was little bit of exaggerating when talking about Burt, but maybe he really is only 5'9''- 5'10''...he tends to wear rather high heeled boots and we do know that for instance 5'7'' Tom Cruise can look 5'10'' with his boots...so why would't it be possible that Burt 5'9'' goes up to 6'0'' with his boots...not really sure about Burt...
