The Seinfeld height is likely because they wanted his description to match that of George's as a way of continuing the joke of the characters being involved or confused in the murder. I don't believe it was an attempt at accurately describing his real height.

Anyone who thinks that guys under 5-10 don't usually need longer legs hasn't tried to buy short-inseam pants!

Come on - I've never seen Clint listed higher than 5'5". And, Matt's right - they listed him as 5'5" on Seinfeld. Why would they list him lower than his height?

Five-foot-six Clint Howard would qualify for limb lengthening. Men who are 5'6" and under are candidates for 3" limb lengthening. Doctor's refuse men 5'7" and up because they believe they have good heights and don't need any more height.

When he was on Seinfeld several years ago and played an escaped convict, a news reporter said he was 5'5". The heights mentioned over the years on the show have seemed pretty accurate, except when George and Elaine each claimed to be 5'8", but were obviously lying.
Heights are barefeet estimates, derived from quotations, official websites, agency resumes, in person encounters with actors at conventions and pictures/films.
Other vital statistics like weight or shoe size measurements have been sourced from newspapers, books, resumes or social media.
