Rob, which of these is arguable?

A) 188.5cm/186.5cm
B) 188cm/186cm
C) 187.5cm/185.5cm
D) 187cm/185cm
E) 186.5cm/184.5cm

The guesses for this guy are all over the place (5ft11 to 6ft3!) but I’ll settle on C. I think he’s claimed 6ft2

I have met this expert many times at his auction house he is 6'0 the same height as me.

I asked a couple of Antiques experts on bargain hunt I have met over the years about Charles hanson height and I get different answers. Antia Mannning said he was 5'11.5" Natasha Raskin told me 6'2" and Paul LaidIaw From what he told me also he too is 6' tall, that seems to be correct. Plus Paul and Charles both look the same height. My best guess would be Charles is a solid 6 footer.

Hi to all that have posted and will continue to post! My Brother who is 47 works on BBC Bristol and has met a lot of production workers who have met Charles Hanson as well as stood right next to him during the filming of Bargain Hunt and Antiques Roadtrip. My Brother is 6'1 '' flat footed.The production workers my brother met have Charles is somewhat the same height as my brother or just a smidge taller. I was interestingly reading his twitter accounts when someone asked him how tall he is.Charles replied"6-1.5". "Without a doubt. He is at least 6-1". If you're 6'1 and 1/2 inch' he probably just says 'I'm 6'2!.

I've seen Charles in person and guessed him as being 6'1.5 certainly somewhere between 6ft1-6ft2 so I think 6ft1.5 has to be close.

I was watching him yesterday on a new series of the Antiques Roadtrip and in one of the antiques shop there was a man who said he was 6'3 and Charles said he was 6'1.5. There was even a tweet from Charles when someone asked him his height barefoot and he said 6'1.5. I think he should upgraded to 6'1.5 as there are multiple times Charles has said this height!.

Can't Believe some of the comments about him being 5'10-5'11 that is laughable!!. He always looks a couple of inches taller than Tim Wonocott who said he was 5'11 once on Bargain Hunt. Charles is easily 6'1 if not 6'2 feet. He always looks quite tall on those antiques programmes . He wouldn't be under 6'0. I would guess around 6'1.5 I think Rob your 6'1 listing is quite fair.

Easily two or more inches shorter than Danny Sebastian who claims to be 6'3 , he doesn't have the proportions of a 6'2" guy by any means, more a strong 6'0.5"

vika89 I would be very surprised if Charles was as tall as 6'1 or 6'2. I have seen that Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip with Anton Du Beke I don't think there was much difference between them, he was on another Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip with Richard Madeley who is 6'2 and he looked a few inches taller .He is smaller than you imagine, and I think his slim frame helps him appear taller in photos or on camera, he is only about 5'11 1/2".

I've seen him up close twice and I think 6ft2 is a good shout, but I wouldn't put him over that mark I don't think. He just looks too tall to be under 6ft2. Very surprised to see him being guessed less than that!

Rob I was watching a old Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip with him and the Ballroom dancer Anton Du Beke who is listed online as 5'11 Do you know his height ? Charles did look about 2 inches taller than him, so I think Charles is about 6'1. The 6'2 claim could have been in shoes?

Have you heard of Kate Silverton BBC News presenter she is listed at 5'10, I just been watching a old celebrity Antiques Roadtrip with her and Charles and I see no more than 2 inches between them. For me, this is bulletproof evidence that he is around 5-11.5- 6'0 because he and her wearing low healed footwear and she is an actress with an actual listed height, not hearsay or " I met so and so 10 years ago." Please can you review this episode on youtube, I don't want to judge you but I don't think Charles is 6'1 let alone 6'2!!

I doubt Bronson that a 5'8 would wear heels I think it adds up with Natasha being around 5'8" or slightly under and Charles being somewhere between 6'0.5"-6'1". I don't doubt the 6'2" Charles claimed on a antiques road trip episode a few years ago was roughly his height in the shoes I would be very surprised if Charles was under 6'0.5 looks on TV to be 6'2 plus that's just his lean posture !

do wonder if Natasha Raskin wears heels on TV Charles might actually be just 6' 6'0.5 would be the perfect listing for him, imo. It's the most reasonable to me as he could look anywhere between 6'0-6'1. Either way, a desirable height and talented auctioneer and expert with a great sense of humour

I must admit. Charles did in fact did say 6'1 on an antiques road trip. Never imagined him as being particularly that tall, never I always as a average sort of gentleman like 5'11 . I'd bet he is somewhere in the 5'10"-5'11 " range. I cannot see Charles as 6'1 !!!

Rampage(-_-_-)Clover I agree, I have actually met Charles earlier this month in Ballybricken in Ireland where he was doing a charity auction in memory of the late Dolores o' Riordan, I am 185cm 6'1 and we were around the same height could have been a fraction taller I would say without a doubt 6'1-6'1.5 range, lovely fellow and a fantastic auctioneer.

Rob He can’t be 6’1 . I saw him on a repeat of the antiques roadtrip celebrity version with ballroom dancer Anton du beke clearly he did not look much taller and Anton is around 5'11 I would think Hanson is 6'0

I've met Charles twice. I am 5ft 10 and he was taller than me. I came up to the middle of his forehead so I would say he was 6ft1-6ft2

brundle I saw gentleman close recently in Windsor filming a flog it I think Anyhow, I met him in person, shook his hand Im 185-186cm, he was definitely slightly shorter than me. Probably closer to 6ft even.

I think 6ft1 on the nose is better for him There isn't much light between a 6ft 1 man and a 6ft 1.5 man. I would be so shocked if this man as high as 6ft 2, I think body type can make you look taller than you actually are. I mean he is very lanky and slim built and I think that can make him look taller, never really towers anyone on TV


Rob has him as listed, I can't wait for him to get Gyllenhaal'd in the future.

Hi Rob this will be of interest, I am not sure if this was a youtube video or a website, I wish I had made reference to the link, Charles Hanson was visiting a six form college and he was giving a talk about antiques, he was joking about the microphone stand being too high for him, he said something like What up this mic stand, This is for someone 6'6, I am 6'1.5, do you want me to see if I could find this and post a link for you to watch and listen, I think he must be 6'1.5 do you think you could list him as 6'1.5 now as opposed to 6'1 ?

I think he is 6ft 2 range, if Natasha raskin is 5'8 looking at them when they are on bargain hunt she could look a good 6 inches shorter. I would say 6'1-6'2 above average male height for sure and a lovely chap love watching him on television ace personality

it's possible he's more 6'0 than 6'2. lots seem to think 6' is short or something and because like Charles who is very lean and lanky Must be well over it. I have a friend who is 6' and he is very similar body wise to Charles very lean and people always guess at 6'2, I mean when I see him on bargain hunt for example he never looks to me to be over 6'0, but I am only guessing I don't think he is over 6'1

watching a episode of celebrity antiques road trip with Anton du beke who is listed at 5'11 although he has asserted himself 6'0 he appears to be 2-3 inches shorter than Charles hanson Say anton is about 5'11.5 and then that would make Charles at least 6'1.5 even up to 6'3 a bit of a stretch, I think Charles is 6'2 like he has claimed rather than 6'1 in my opinion .

He's just 184cm tbh, , seen him a lot of times over the years at antique fairs I am 187cm in shoes and I have walked right next to him a lot of times, he is no taller than me, I bet his height is 184cm His claim of 6'2 on that antiques road trip could have been in large footwear, I think this listing of 6'1 is fairly accurate to be more precise Editor rob you could list as 6'0.5

I think he is either 6'2 or just under. He struggles to look only 6'0 " and I think he at best looks 6'1 1/2".Looked close enough to get a 6ft 2listing here when next to Ballroom dancer Anton Du beke who is listed as 5'11 on a celebrity antiques Road trip it was repeated on channel 25 the other evening , he was easily 3 inches shorter than Charles quite a noticeable height difference . Looked more like a 6ft 2 guy than a 6ft range to me, quite a tall man

Charles did in fact did say I 6'1 it was on antiques road trip it was repeated on channel 25 yesterday seems strange for something like that to come out of thin air from Charles on a BBC programme which will be watched by millions , to inflate his height by several inches I can't see him any taller than 6'0 TBH I think 5'11 could be his height there really is very little difference between him and Konta , His natural posture, however, is great on TV which helps him to look taller than he actually is . Never imagined him as being particularly that tall, never I always as a average sort of gentleman like 5'11 . I'd bet he is somewhere in the 5'11"-5'11.5" range. I cannot see Charles as 6'1 !!!

rob could he be more than 6ft 1 my daughter met him recently at her sixth form college she said she was surprised how much taller he looked in real life than on those antiques shows she said he was around 6ft2 or 6ft3 the same height as one of her teachers, I would thought 6ft 1 he is quite a lean man so maybe looks taller than he does?
