it, you don't half stand out more if you're tall!
When I wear high heels, yes, it does add to my confidence, but if I am less than smartly dressed and my hair a mess, I prefer the option of wearing pumps and hiding away!
As for short people being victims of crime, that is because those who commit these atrocious acts look for the most defenceless among us. That's why I so relish seeing a short bloke being able to stand his ground - and I have known a few!

@ Sandy Cowell - I am sure they exist! There are bound to be men who prefer being a little bit on the small side but a lot won't admit it due to the social norm of men aspiring to be tall! Being tall has never interested me, I would prefer to be average myself and although I am on the lower end of average I am happy with my height!
Like you said, a little bit of harmless banter is good but anything else is totally unacceptable, it is terrible that we live in a world where people are more vulnerable and more of a target for crime due to their height, every level of height should be celebrated by us all both in terms of our own height and other peoples heights!

I think girls who like being petite obviously have never been victims of crime and have a history of boyfriends who have loved them for being small, looked after them and NOT taken the ¶iss! A bit of Micky taking is quite natural and all part of affection, but not in front of an audience!

It's a shame because there is nothing wrong with being below average in height, I can vouch for that and I'm a man! There are women who like being short too but most would probably like to be taller!
