Saw a documentary about the making of "Pumping Iron" & Bud was shooting scenes for the film with Arnold Schwarzeneggar. He looked no more than 2- 3 inches shorter than Arnold. Obviously much slimmer, but surprisingly only appearing to be only 2- 3 inches shorter than Arnold. Incidentally, the scenes in "Pumping Iron" featuring Bud were scrapped & ommitted from the final film.

Rob can you add a photo and Brewster's McCloud, Brain Dead, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Why Shoot the Teacher?, Bates Motel and The Chocolate War?
He looked much taller in Harold and Maude but oddly in The Life Aquatic he looked easily 2 inches shorter than Owen Wilson and nearer 5 ft 8.
