Rob, here is another clip at the 4.00 mark where Brooke seems to stand tall and says she is a 6 foot tall person and she is questioned about her height and then replied that she might have shrunk to 5 ft 11 and a fraction. Even her associates are questioning it, but give her the benefit of the doubt.

Rob you gotta see this. 3 women who are at least as tall as Brooke and 2 claim 5 ft 10 and one claims 5 foot 9. They insist Brooke is 6 feet tall, even though you can clearly see she isn't taller than them. They wore some small heels, but it's hilarious how even when Brooke is next to other tall women, she still claims 6 feet.

I'm surprised that she isn't even a full 5'11" I saw her in an episode of That 70's show and she looked very tall to me. She looked 6'0" on the show, I think she could use an upgrade. She looked to me to be at least an inch taller than Laura Prepon who played Donna who is listed as 5'9.75" on here. I knew Brooke was super tall just by seeing her next to even the other guys in the episode, like Topher Grace, she looked taller than him to me and he's listed as 5'10.5" on here. The funny thing is that she was supposed to play Jackie's (Mila Kunis's) mother and Mila was over 6 inches shorter than her mother in the show. The other 70's show members didn't look as tall as theHe's listed compared to her, so they might need a downgrade or she needs an upgrade. Brooke is at least 5'10.5"-5'11".

Rob I noticed that some tall actresses standing next to Brooke will often bend down a little and Brooke usually has a straight posture. I don't think she likes to be beat in height. I didn't know Victoria Justice was only 5 ft 5. Brooke doesn't look 5 and a half inches taller than her in that pic.

Now Carol is a little closer to the camera, but when you look at how much she's bending, it seems pretty obvious that she is taller. It's hard to get a picture of them both standing next to each other with the perfect angle and both of them having a straight posture. Carol bends down a bit in most of her pics. I think she doesn't want to look taller than Brooke.

Rob, I found some new photos of Brooke and Carol Alt. Some interesting pics. I believe that Alt is still at least a half an inch taller than Brook, I think she edges her out. There are some pics where Brooke looks as tall or even taller than Carol, but if you look closely it clearly looks like Carol is dropping substantial height in her knees.

These new pictures make Brooke seem a little closer than some of the other ones where camera angle made Carol look much taller. But when Carol stands straight, she still does seem to be taller than Brooke by a fraction and she just looks longer. In every pic, Carol seems to be bending quite more than Brooke and also it does seem like Brooke's shoes are slightly higher. So with all things considered and looking at several of pics my eyes tell me Carol has a little longer body. I'm pretty confident that Brooke's shoes were a little higher too.

We all shrink by the time we reach age 40. Ahoj, I actually think Brooke is a little shorter than 179 cm. I have seen pics of her with Carol Alt and she is noticeably shorter from different angles. And there are many pics of her with Daryl Hannah who is 5 ft 10 and they look very similar. I've also seen pics where Jenna Elfman looked taller than Brooke. I'm thinking Brooke is more like 5 ft 10 to 5 ft 10.25 at most. I don't think she would look taller than Tyra Banks if she stood next to her.

Here's a conspiracy theory Rob. Do you think sometimes they have shorter actors next to Brooke Shields on purpose? I noticed in many movies Brooke works with a lot of shorter actors. For instance I don't think any of the actors is Suddenly Susan were 6 feet. And in Brenda Starr, she towers over the actors barefoot. Maybe that's why she always says she's 6 feet? They wanted to market her as a tall, powerful Amazon like Lucy Lawless to make her stand out.

I saw her in a film last night called 'Stalking Laura', based on true events which made America re-think its laws on stalking.
She looked a good 5ft11 in it. I didn't see any woman taller than her. The film was from the early 90's, so maybe she's lost a fraction of height since.
She was also standing tall and proud in the film 'The Midnight Meat Train', so therefore I will stick will my original 5ft11. She has a good posture and I think it is doubtful that she's shrunk!

I was watching her on tv so I checked this site since she seemed rather tall. I don't understand your logic. If she was standing next to her dad who is only a strong 6ft.

Brook's father was 6'7" or 6'6.5" tall, not 6'. I have provided the link to the picture he's (Batman) referring to. If you look at Brook and her father, he appears to be about 1 head size tall than she is, which would make her about 5'10"-5'10.5" (male heads are about 8.6"-9.4" in length.). It is always hard to tell. But, I certainly don't think Brooke is 5'7"-5'9" but I don't think she's 6', either. Overall, she's definitely very tall.

There are numerous photos of Brooke Shields and Michael Jackson. One appeared to be a her wearing a wedding dress. Michael jackson is well was 5 foot 9 inches and Brooke was wearing high heels 5 inches and looked 5 inches taller than him. That would make her height 5 foot 9 inches or 5 foot 7 inches which is fairly close in height differences. This would explain why she says she is 6 feet tall. When she was asked her height she was wearing heels and that made her 6 feet tall. so at the time she would be 6 feet tall.

You know she doesn't really have very many photos with other tall female celebs. I've tried to look for photos of her with Nicole Kidman, Tyra Banks, Rebecca Romijin, etc.. Can't really find many pics with her and other tall girls in which they're both wearing the same shoes. But the ones that I have found such as the ones with Jenna Elfman, Cindy Crawford, and Daryl Hannah do make Brooke look a bit shorter than 5 ft 11. But Brooke has been wearing higher heels over the years, makes you wonder if she has shrunk a little and is trying to make up for her lost height. I'm gonna wager that she has lost a fraction. She seems to wear ridiculous heels as if she's a bit conscious of her height. She was on a show with Wanda Sky and kept showing off her height, but Wanda is 5 ft 2 and Brooke had heels on.

Of course I don't mean that talking about the height of famous people is pointless. I would also like to know what is her height, but in my opinion we can't guess it by looking at several photos whether she is 5'11, or as she once stated 6'1" .... We can make those estimations only by comparing her to other people, but we only have an estimation on the height of other people as well, and also you never know the posture of her and the other people which can also give inches of misscalculation.

They look almost 6 inches but they have a big platform so that helps. For instance I have 4 inch heels without a platform and they give me about 2.5 inches of height but I have some 4 inch heels with a 2 inch platform and they give me about 3.25 inches of height

It seems that nowadays female models are taller than what they used to be. Back in the 1920s-1950s models were between 5'0-5'5.5 and in the 1980s-late 1990s the tallest they got were 5'11. Nowadays women that are models are 5'10 or higher. Considering thee fact Brooke Shields modeled in the 1980s this seems to be accurate.

The height Rob posted sounds right. In "The Other Guys" note Brooke's cameo. She is seated next to Will Ferrell at a baskeball game and you can see their feet. There is a clear - though not very big - height difference. If she were only 2 inches shorter than Farrell it would not have shown much when they were seated.

P.S. Note the "movie magic" trick in this particular scene which features Shields and Rosie Perez. Tall Shields is placed next to Ferrell while small Perez is placed next to Wahlberg, making him look really tall in comparison!

I really, really doubt Brooke Shields took any kind of hormones. Growth is complicated, it isn't just age, it is also genetics. Some people are tall as kids, but don't have tall genes so they level out fairly young.

Brooke's parents seem to be pretty tall themselves. These photos aren't great for comparison in terms of angles and footwear, but I could believe Brooke's father was 6'6" and her mother was 5'8" (or thereabouts):

I've seen stills of her with then solid 5'7 Susan Sarandon in Pretty Baby back when Brooke was 13, comparing heights she was at best 5'4. You could see she was gonna be a reasonably tall woman, like 5'8 or 5'9, but to grow 7 or 8 inches for a woman past 13 is actually pretty impressive, even for a really tall 15 y.o. male equivalent.

If she grew those without any help, then Happy, you should change your name to Crazy Glad because if you're actually 5'9 girl at 13, then you have a pretty good chance to become a 6'4 woman, now that's cool, huh?

saw brooke twice in new york during filming of lipstick jungle and was surprised at how much taller she was in person. i'm 5'9" and she had flat ballet shoes on and whe was at the least 3 inche taller than me. when ever i see a tall woman i always make it a point to see footwear to measure true height. brooke is not rail thin like all the other models and actresses so you can't really tell how tall she is till you stand next to her. to answer cats question regarding photo of glenn and brooke, if you look at the photo glenn is in front while brooke is in back leaning. that should answer her question.

I saw Brooke Shields on "Two and a Half Men." She was wearing flats at the beginning of the episode and appeared to be about an inch taller than Charlie. Charlie Sheen is about 5'9"

Later in the episode, Brooke is wearing heels. The heels are at least three inches. While she's wearing those high heels, she towers over Charlie and Alan.

Men don't like to feel emasculated by a taller woman, the same way tall women don't like to date shorter men. I'm only 5'11", not what anyone would call "Tall", and I see a woman about my height or taller about once or twice a week (I live in Philly, a crowded town). They definitely only go for taller men, so many shorter men also feel like that tall women wouldn't be interested in them, anyways. Brooke Shields probably feels the same way and likes taller guys, as well.

It sucks though, because no one can really choose their height, so people just have to "deal with it." Some tall women prefer to be shorter, but just about ANY short guy would rather be taller. So, either way, taller is always "better."

No, I'm pretty sure she's 6' even, even in flat shoes. She's at least 6'2" on heels. Brooke Shields is probably the tallest mainstream actress out there.

It's funny, though, because she almost always works with men who are much taller than her, which make her look around 5'9" or so, even if she's wearing heels. But being on film has that affect on people, too. They say you gain 10 pounds of "wideness" on film, and look two inches shorter.

Brooke is not 5'11. I saw her tonight in NYC while I was getting gelatto in Little Italy. She was with Chris Henchy. She was in either sandals or flipflops no more than 4 feet from me for several minutes. I am 6'1 and she was not what I would consider "tall." I would actually say she looks more 5'9 ish. Another inconsistency. Allison Janney height is estimated here at 6 feet while Brooke is only 5'11 but look at their photo together with Eva Longoria(Click Here). Brooke looks taller by some 1 centimeter. Obviously, Brooke's claim of her height as at least 6 feet is legitimate.

My my, I just said it was a very bad pic "to judge her height". I mean it's not like I'm saying this so you take it personally, it's all cool that you get to take pics with celebs and that you have the desire to do that but this is a height site and I'm just giving my two cents on it. Now after a second check yeah I think she could be 5'11 though no more than that.

actually i do get most of them at places where celebs would be.but i do bump into alot of them.the photos arent scientific proof.thanks aaaa,i appreciate the support.

Glenn, I think your pics are just fine. You openly admit they are not always great for height, that they are intended for you. You also give fair estimations of person to person encounter, thise are always appericated too. And it is pretty easy to understand why your photos aren't always great for comparsions. You run into celebs in everyday life, correct? The fact that you even get them to pose for pics is pretty impressive. I would think it would be a hassle even to get them to listen half the time, as they probably try to avoid being recognized.

yes,i think small heels.my pics are taken by anyone.strangers on the street,tourists,whoever im working with,whoever friend or entourage the celeb is with,and sometimes doormen or security on rarer occasion.in this case it was one of my peers,as it usually is.

when i was in my late teens i loved the cons rob.i have no patience for the freaks now.so you see what i mean.im not a people person and im not overly friendly, depending.im the sweetest, funnest guy if i know you or people know me from something.otherwise stay away from me.lol.and cons do get once a-list people.dropped now to b-list for their con appearence(val kilmer).once they do conventions they seem to lose credibilty.but its not all d-list.but it sure seems that way.i love getting good horror names at cons.from movies i love.thats the best about cons.the worse is the lines and fans.

Glenn, how did you take this picture. Brooke Shields is a great get, good job Glenn, but the picture seems shot at too much of an angle. Why are Mamun's pics dead on center? Maybe you can ask him how he takes his pics and do the same thing he does. Don't get mad, the quality of your celebs are much better than his but he seems to get his celebs to stand right next to him. Good luck! Brooke Shields is beautiful by the way. You're a lucky man to get so close to her.

Many years ago, I remember reading that Brooke Shield would never become a mega movie star as at the time, at 'around' 6'0 tall. She was far too tall for most leading men at that time. Sylvester Stallone for example, a little short arse, you just couldn't pair them up.

Because of varing anges, posture and footwear, one can never accurately determine a person's height based on photographs. I find it stupid for some of you to use pictures in an attempt to debunk or corroborate the height of Brooke Shields. Likewise, you cannot precisely figure a person's height by just looking at her walked past you. Not unless you get the chance to stand straight beside or at the back of the person can you really get a close approximation of her height. Brooke Shields may not be exactly 6'0 but she sure at least 5'11 or 5'11 1/2. She was definetely taller than Kathy Ireland when Kathy guested at her Suddenly Susan show. She was definitely taller by at least 1.5 to 2 inches than Kathy who is listed as 5'10. If she is only 5'11.5, who cares? A half inch difference would not make her short.

re: the pic on 12/Mar/07-- Brooke is probably 5-10 1/2, because she appears the same height as John Forsythe, who was in his 60s when that pic was taken, and, as Rob says, had probably shrunk from 5-11 to 5-10 1/2 by then.

More like 5'11.75" or 6'0.25" I guess, she looks pretty big in her modeling pictures Click Here subtract the length of the heels from her height with shoes and you'll see the answer.
