American actress best remembered for playing Glinda the Good Witch of the North in The Wizard of Oz. She also appeared in Dinner at Eight, Merrily We Live, A Bill of Divorcement, The Bride Wore Red , The Barkleys of Broadway, Father of the Bride (1950) and Topper. In a 1916 Chicago Tribune it described her as "About 5 feet 3 in stature and 110 [pounds] in weight".

@Rob, yeah maybe in her younger years she got measured at 5'2.5, that's believable. By Wizard looked no more than 5'2 though I though. She was mid 50s at that time, possible she had lost a little, she danced a lot, perhaps wear and tear took its toll, possible.

Not sure on 5'2.5 though, I'd thought more 5'2 flat with Judy Garland
