Hey Rob! Ben Elton has done loads of stand-up comedy. A friend of mine used to bring them round to my house and we’d watch them.
So as well as a writer, surely that puts Ben into the Comedians’ Category? Please could you add him at some stage? Thanks Rob!

Of course.

I had a Blackadder scene at the forefront of my mind last time I got out of bed, involving Stephen Fry. It came from Blackadder Goes Forth.
It’s either a song that I find lodged in my head, or a comedy scene, and today it was a scene, which I might watch presently.
Ben, who co-wrote Blackadder as from the second series onwards, can be seen in a scene when Prince George, played by Hugh Laurie, and his butler, Blackadder, played by Rowan Atkinson, go to the theatre, which is right at the beginning of the third series, aptly entitled Blackadder the Third.
5ft7. 🐍

regarding Ben's height,
Click Here...he looks a comfortable 3 inches less than Angus Deayton.

* 'Interest in History' is an insult to him! Ben's a fully qualified historian!

I never saw Ben as quite as short as 5ft7 - I'd say he looks at least half to an inch more - at least!
I've seen him do stand-up many times and he looks fairly average! I think it's this little thing about 5ft8 inch guys saying that they are 5ft10!
I did once know someone who was measured right in front of me - 5ft7 and a quarter! I came out with, "****! I thought you were much taller!" He'd even tried to pass himself off as 5ft10! I can think of more like that as well! One of '5ft7' who was probably nearer 5ft5! Another '5ft10' looking 5ft8!
Ben was in a 'Blackadder III' episode - good old Blackadder! He was the protester at the theatre, but we didn't see him getting near to his target, Hugh Laurie, the Prince Regent, who must have been about 6ft3 at that time!
Still, I love Ben's humour and that he has an interest in history - and of course, he co- wrote Blackadder's II - IV, Back and Forth and Christmas Carol! All terrific stuff which I must know pretty well off by heart now!
