It's not that Don [Adams] is so short...he's average height...but in heels I'm five feet 10 inches and that only looks right with somebody as tall as Dick [Van Dyke].
Like, I'm five-foot-nine and as a teenager i wanted to be a a dancer. Too tall.

Somebody did tell me to get thin ... but I was outraged. I had a sort of middle-west idea of what 'thin' meant. And being five foot nine I thought I was thin at 145 pounds.

It’s just that I thought we had agreed on 5’9” for him; a trifle taller than Feldon and Adams, especially considering his older age and lack of hair- sorry about that, Chief.

This 5’9” ranger definitely deserves a page. As well as Chief on Get Smart, he acted in major influential films including Rebel Without a Cause, North by Northwest, Pollyanna, Written on the Wind and Cape Fear.

Editor RobGiven his age, I'd say Platt might have been a bit taller...they did seem all within half inch of each other, quite surprising.

Editor RobI thought they might be very close, sometimes eyelevel differences can make somebody of the same height feel shorter or taller.

Barbara Feldon said in a TV Land interview that she wouldn't stand in stocking feet...she would kind of roll her feet over and stand on the SIDES of her feet, to make herself shorter. She had callouses as a result. Ouch!

Met him. 5' 7" is about right. Looked creepy in a moustache. I'm sure Feldon was in barefeet much of every shot and Don in customs. He told me he worked stand-up for years before becoming 86.

I think Don Adams was also 5'9''. In several episodes of Get Smart, you can tell that Feldon is slouching so that Adams would appear taller (in those days, the guy had to be taller than the female co-star). Plus, in closeups, Adams stood on an apple crate while Feldon were no shoes. However, in certain scenes where Feldon does wears heels, she is only slightly taller than Adams, leading me to believe that they would probably be the same height if they both went bearfoot.
