Can seem smaller at times but he's often pictured next to 6 ft 5+ heavyweights. I see he's getting backlash for showing off his new holiday home in Dubai. He got lucky with the boxing and wealth, fair game to him I say, enjoy it while it lasts. My only issue is why a lot of these celebs always need to show everything off, often the most insecure are the most showy. The real stars like Pitt, Clooney, Jolie and Jackman etc tend to be very private and guarded about what they have!

Hey Rob, Ive met Amir Khan at the PAA Event and took a picture with him, but Unfortunately, it was only a selfie and it looks like he was in a rush but I was satisfied that I met my first celeb and got a picture.

Regarding his height, I think 5'8.25-8.5" sounds about right, He was slightly taller than Javed Sheikh (who looked no more than 5'8" in person).
Amir definitely looked a strong 5'8" in person, tho his 5'9.5-10" claim is just silly.

BTW Rob, Could the original 5'8.5" listing was possible?

Kell and Khan are very similar clearly, yh agree Kell might edge him out based on the facts you said, Kell has not much hair, Khan has more hair and you said he has a slight footwear advantage, Rob has Brook a 0.25 inch taller than Khan on Here tho It might be more a good 0.5 inch.

Brook looked very close face to face with Golovkin too, Have seen Golovkin gets listed as 1.79 m which is 5'10 1/2, But its seems clear he must be somewhere in the 5'9 range

@anon, Khan is about 0.5 inch shorter than Kell. Kell is around 174 cm (5'8.5") and Khan is around 172.5-173 cm (5'8"). In this video you can see Kell and Khan face-to-face (staredown): Click Here (face-off starts 13 seconds into the video).

As you can see in the face-off, Khan (even with his hair advantage) is clearly shorter than Kell. You can judge from their faces. Khan's facial features (eyes, nose, mouth, etc.) are all slightly lower than Kell's.

Also, another thing to note is, Khan even has slight footwear advantage over Kell. You can see both of their footwear later in the video (starting from ~3:32). So, Khan is shorter than Kell even with a small footwear advantage.

Therefore, all of this evidence indicates that Khan is at least 0.5 inch shorter than Kell.

Sully, the evidence indicates that he is closer to 5'8" than 5'8.5". Your dad might not be a full 5'8.5". You should measure his height at night time and see what his real height is.

He's my dads second cousin. I met him thrice in my life , we stay pretty far from each other.Last time I saw him was Nov 2014 , my dad is 5'8.5" and they were exactly the same height.He is 174 cm tall no less.

Well yeah could be 0.25-inches but i suspect Kell Brook and Rob being exactly the same height; Rob's forehead looks larger than Kell's and once you take Kell's footwear advantage away, i doubt Kell would measure taller thus, Rob could have 0.5-inches on Khan and be as tall as the likes of a strong 5'8, 5'9 guy like Oscar Dela Hoya and probably an inch shorter than GGG, maybe less. Then again, it might just be a coin toss whose taller, Rob or Kell; my money would be on Rob in a very strict measurement but they are more-or-less height twins; Khan realistically being shorter than both.

Yeah, Rob probably edges Khan out by 0.25 inches. I'd say Kell Brook is 0.25 inches taller than Rob, and 0.5 inches taller than Khan. That means Rob is 0.25 inches taller than Khan.

Johno, you're right. I didn't even notice the shoes until you pointed them out. Amir's shoes do definitely add around 0.25 inches more than Kell's, and even then Kell is taller. That gives even more proof that Kell is at the very least 0.5 inches taller than Amir. So, that leads me to believe that Amir Khan is not more than 5'8" at his low. He may be 5'8.5 in the mornings, but at night he appears to be 5'8" on the dot.

I think in that video Mike, Khan has some ankle high formal shoes on.that most probably are around 1-inch and Brook is in some ~0.8-inch casuals thus the height difference is probably nearer 0.5-inches between the two. Kell Brook is most definently Rob's height.

Rob, I think there is solid evidence to show that Amir is only 5'8" (not even 5'8.25"). As you know Kell Brook is 5'8.5", which is pretty accurate since the picture you took with him shows that he's around 5'8.5". And, here is a face-off/stare-down between Amir and Kell (starting at 14 seconds): Click Here

Based on that, you can see Amir is around half an inch shorter than Kell by looking at their eye level, and heads (considering Kell is bald and Amir is not). If Amir was truly 5'8.25" then he would only be a quarter inch shorter than Kell, but he's clearly more than 0.25" shorter than Kell (more like 0.5") which the video proves.

So, I think he's only 5'8" on the dot (no less, no more).

Agree. I'm in the sport myself but I'm not only gauging there weigh in or media stare downs. I'm talking in ring. And boxing shoes are incredibly thin and impossible to add a height to because it compromises the shoe and is illegal.

Honestly, I wish I took a photo with him now, I would bet my life on the guy being 5'7. I saw him in the Gatecrasher club in Birmingham a few months back. I met him in the V.I.P. section me and my girlfriend shook his hand. I'm 6'1 and the top of my head to my nose is 6 inches. He was up-to my nose exactly,he slightly shorter than my 5'4 girlfriend in heels (5'8 in heels).

Zayn is not underlisted by an inch. Even with the bad angle. It's clear to me that Amir is 5'8" flat, which is something I've been subtlely advocating. Look at the pictures I posted of him with Nick Cannon and 5'9"ish Mario Lopez, where he looks at least an inch shorter than Mario.

I always believed him to be 5ft10, but that is only because I read that he was. But whenever I saw him on tv I thought he looked a little smaller than that,not necessarily because he looked small, more like he didn't look 5ft10 standing next to people. But again not that he comes across as a small looking guy.
But I always thought if he is 5ft10 why is does he find it hard to fight at welterweight like Floyd mayweather who is 5ft8? Khan has fought at light welterweight most of his career. So it seems he probably isn't 5ft10.
But anything up to 5ft9 would seem fair to me.

in the picture shown above if he was standing straight he is about 5 inches shorter than 6 3 Jackman. Which puts him at 5 10. I have met him in person more than a few times. He is a legit 5 10. The other proof is that the only boxer he has face who was taller than him was Mario Kindelin. Everybody else from bradley to molina to garcia. Everyone is shorter than him. He cannot be 5 8. Its just not possible. He is the tallest one in his weight category (welterweight).

yup, i've met him - in london, in a sheesha/hookah bar. i'm a legit 5' 7" at night guy (~5' 7.5" in the morning). took a pic with khan, nobody bending over, similar footwear (regular sneakers, no nike Air Forces). he is precisely 2" taller than me (at night). i genuinely reckon you should upgrade him to at least 5' 9"

Surprisingly next to 6f2 Jackman he doesn't look too bad.

I think he is 173-174cm. Saw a documentary on him recently. Looked a good 4-4.5" shorter then 6f0.5/184 D.Cameron.

I was surprised but then again in his next fight he will probably be listed back at 5'10 lol. Same as Ricky hatton i have seen him listed as high as 5'7.5 and as low as 5'6 you never know what you're going to get lol fighting sports are quite unreliable when it comes to height!

Yeah first time i have seen him listed as 5'8.5 in a fight. The other fighter was listed at 5'5.5 and Khan did look like he had a good 3 inches on him.

I have to agree with Liam_mckay and John on this one! You have underestimated Khan's height a little, Rob. I think that Khan is more like 176 cm tall. MD makes a very valid comment that at Khan's weight class (140 lbs) he would look a lot slimmer if he truly was taller than 5ft 8.5inches. Well, the problem is that boxing today is a farce with weigh ins being carried out more than 24 hours before the fight itself. This means that a boxer can weigh around 139 or 140 lbs at the weigh in, but can weigh as much as 156 lbs (or more!) on the day of the fight! This 24 hour weigh in rule has been in effect only since the early 1990s. Before, boxers had to weigh in 12 or 10 hours before a fight which, in my opinion, is much fairer (some boxers can put a hell of a lot more weight on than others if they are given a full 24 hours to re-hydrate before a fight). Getting back to Khan: a good fighter, very quick with his hands and feet, but lacking any real punch resitance & more than lacking any boxing brains so as to put him way below today's elite fighters like Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao.

I don't know what picture you're looking at. Mario is clearly taller than Amir in the picture I posted, and by a good inch even with the bad angle.

It's the perfect example of the Two Inch Rule, if you ask me. I never bought his height to begin with, because at the weight class at which he boxes, he's look MUCH thinner than he does if he was really 5'9.5"-5'10" fighting at 140 lbs. He really is in the 5'8" range. He's a little guy for whatever reason can come across looking as taller. Maybe, it's because the fighters in his weight class are generally shorter fighters.

@las vegas mandala bay, I met and talked to him for a while in the meet-greet session. I am a good 6 feet and he looked atleast 5'9.5 no less. Rob do u think u might have just underestimated his height by an inch?

Met Khan a couple of times,he's about 5'9, maybe a tad taller.
